While we were on our Christmas trip, we made a stop in Funchal, Madeira. The name of the city, Funchal is apparently derived from a word meaning "fennel" which grew wild in the area. So, the locals make a hard candy using fennel, which tastes like licorice. I bought some of the candies to give my Club Members as an extra treat from me. I used the Sweetest Thing Bundle in the Occasions Catalog to make these fun (and easy) box in a bag treat holders and filled them with the fennel candies and a dark chocolate hazelnut bon bon for those who don't like the taste of licorice. I then gave them out to my Club Members who came to Club Classes during January.
