We taught our boys to always write thank you cards for the gifts they received. I'm so proud that our oldest is teaching his son to do the same thing!
I made some fun, simple cards for my 4-year-old grandson to use to write thank you notes as a Christmas gift. You can see them here. We got one of the cards back from him the other day with a nice note he wrote himself. His Daddy asked him what he wanted to say, with a little coaching, and typed it out on the computer for him to copy onto the card. He was so proud to be giving us a card he wrote himself!
To help reinforce the importance of writing thank you notes, I made a punny card using the Oh Snap Set and wrote a thank you note to him for the gifts he gave us. He gave out hot cocoa mixes in decorated jars that I'd helped him make (you can see the jars here) and his mom took him to the dollar store where he picked out presents for everyone and used his allowance to buy them.
