Welcome to the RemARKably Created Blog Tour for August. I think most of us, including me, are showcasing the gorgeous Thoughtful Branches Bundle which is available from Stampin' Up! while supplies last or until August 31, whichever comes first. If you haven't already ordered this set, you are going to want to do so soon! This was also my Class in the Mail Kit for this month. Those who ordered the kit from me by last Friday are receiving the consumable materials they need to create these cards along with directions.
This first card also showcases a technique called clear-block stamping. Simply press a clear block directly onto an ink pad and then stamp onto a piece of card stock with the block to create a nice square or rectangle of color to highlight your other stamped images. Sometimes, like on this card, I do lightly spritz the inked block with water using an old Stampin' Mist bottle to make the color blend together nicely. Be sure to let your card stock dry thoroughly before stamping any images on the square of color. You can speed up the drying a bit by using a Heat Tool if you wish. I used a piece of regular Whisper White Card Stock, but the water on the ink block made the card stock buckle a bit. For better results, you might want to use a piece of Whisper White Thick Card Stock.

Want a really quick and easy way to cut out the tiny apple image in the Thoughtful Branches Set? Use the Tree Builder Punch! This punch fits perfectly around the apple shape. Of course, there is a tiny apple framelit included in the Beautiful Branches Thinlits, but the punch is really quick and easy!

To create some extra depth and sparkle on the flower, I adhered the stamped and cut out image to a piece of Blushing Bride Glimmer Paper and then trimmed around the edges by hand with Paper Snips. To make the card stock stick properly to the glimmer paper, I used tiny pieces of Tear & Tape Adhesive, nothing else really sticks well to the glitter on the glimmer paper.
