Summer Silhouettes Happy Healing Cards

I have a couple of customers who are in need of get well cards.  One broke her ankle and the other is recovering from knee surgery.  So, I made these cards to send them using the Summer Silhouettes and And Many More Sets.  Hope the cards help brighten their days!

To create the speckled background on the first card, I gave the Gold Wink of Stella Glitter Brush a good squeeze to get lots of liquid down into the brush tip.  I then used my fingernail to flick some of the liquid off of the brush tip and onto the card stock.  You will get ink all over your fingertip, so have some baby wipes or a sink handy to clean your finger!

Walk In Wednesday - Sassy Salutations and Serene Silhouettes

Walk in Wednesday is on for today.

This is a day when you can stop by and pick up orders, place orders, pay for orders, look at displays, pick up a catalog, ask questions, get help with products, sign up for upcoming events, and stamp a couple of quick and easy projects.

I still have a few orders here and ready for pick up, plus I am expecting the April Club Orders to come in today and hope to have them ready for pick up during the event as well.

Retired merchandise is not out for sale at this time.  I can not sell retiring merchandise until June 1 when the new catalog goes live.

Wetlands Black Tie Goose

This is the last of the cards we made in my Club Classes this month.  It features the Wetlands Stamp Set with a fun fold that showcases both sides of our lovely designer papers.

Lightly curl the bow pieces and center wrap piece of your bow using a Bone Folder before adhering everything together.  It will make it easier to bend and wrap the card stock and will help your bow stay together better.

Here's another card we made in my Club Classes this month.  It showcases the Swallowtail background stamp and Rose Wonder Bundle.  We also used the same technique of putting strips of Washi Tape onto a piece of card stock and then cutting out a shape using a detailed thinlit.

Sprinkles of Life Silver Clouds

I was really surprised that the Sprinkles of Life Photopolymer Set is NOT retiring, but I'm super pleased because I love this set!  I thought it would retire because it is the current Ronald McDonald House Charities, which means that every time it is purchased Stampin' Up! donates $3 to Ronald McDonald House Charities.  It is such a great set though that Stampin' Up! decided to carry it over to the new catalog effective June 1.  It will no longer be the Ronald McDonald House Charities Set at that point though (we'll be getting a new set for that!) and will no longer mean a donation of $3 to RMHC.  If you like this set and haven't bought it yet, you've got plenty of time, but if you do want to donate $3 to RMHC, be sure to purchase it by May 31.  We used this wonderful set to make a great encouragement card in my Club Classes this month.

Flower Patch Cotton Paper Flower

Here's another one of the cards we made in my Club Classes this month.  We used the Flower Patch Photopolymer Set and created a flower using scallop circle punches and Cotton Paper.  We also made a cheery butterfly by placing pieces of Washi Tape onto a piece of card stock and then cutting it out with a butterfly thinlit.

It can be tricky to punch shapes from the Cotton Paper unless you place a piece of copy paper behind the Cotton Paper before punching.  This gives a little more strength to the paper so it is easier to cut through it with the punch.

Banner Blessings Drapery Fold Friend

Six-Sided Sampler All Boxed Up Boxes

I used the All Boxed Up Kit and the Six-Sided Sampler Set to create some fun boxes to hold a variety of Hershey Kisses.  I gave these boxes to my Club Members who came to Club Classes this month.  These are super cute and easy to put together thanks to the All Boxed Up Kit.  You could easily adapt them to your needs and use them as co-worker or neighbor gifts, thank you treats for teachers/coaches/bus drivers/Scout leaders/etc., or use them as treat boxes at a birthday party or shower.

Here's a tip for you!  Do you get frustrated by kinks in twine that has been wrapped around a piece of cardboard?  Simply soak a cotton ball in some rubbing alcohol and pinch the soaked cotton ball around one end of the twine.  Pull the twine through the pinched cotton ball a couple of times.  The pressure and wetness will un-kink the twine and the rubbing alcohol will dry quickly.  Voila - straight twine!
