Welcome to the Blog Tour for April presented by RemARKable Stampers. You'll be seeing lots of ideas using fantastic products in the Occasions Catalog.
For this month, I decided to focus on the Rose Wonder Bundle on page 18 of the Occasions Catalog. I love the rose and all the wonderful sentiments in this set and, of course, the Thinlits are lots of fun to play with too.
Uses Rose Wonder Photopolymer Set plus Mint Macaron Classic Stampin' Pad, Soft Suede Classic Stampin' Pad, Mint Macaron Card Stock, Blushing Bride Card Stock, Soft Suede Card Stock, Whisper White Card Stock, Birthday Bouquet Designer Series Paper, SNAIL Adhesive, Mini Glue Dots, Stampin' Dimensionals, 2-Way Glue Pen, Tear & Tape Adhesive, Blushing Bride 1/4" Cotton Ribbon, Botanical Garden Jewels, 1-3/4" Circle Punch, 2" Circle Punch, Paper Snips, Craft Scissors, Stampin' Trimmer, Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine, Multipurpose Platform, Standard Cutting Pads, Precision Base Plate, Big Shot Die Brush, Rose Garden Thinlits, Botanical Builder Framelits, Clear-Mount Block B, Clear-Mount Block D, and Clear-Mount Block H.
After heat embossing the rose and leaves image on one side of the vellum, I turned the vellum over and placed it on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. I then used the Stylus to "color" in the leaves by adding pressure. This turns the vellum white and adds some lines that look like veining in the leaves.
Uses Rose Wonder Photopolymer Set plus Very Vanilla Card Stock, Timeless Elegance Designer Series Paper, White Vellum Card Stock, SNAIL Adhesive, Mini Glue Dots, 2-Way Glue Pen, Everyday Chic Designer Washi Tape, Basic Black 3/8" Stitched Satin Ribbon, Metal Rimmed Pearls, Heat Tool, Black Stampin' Emboss Powder, VersaMark Pad, Basic Black Archival Stampin' Pad, Simply Scored Stylus, Craft Scissors, Stampin' Pierce Mat, Stampin' Trimmer, Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine, Standard Cutting Pads, Magnetic Platform, Rose Garden Thinlits, Clear-Mount Block F, and Clear-Mount Block H.
I used only the stamp set for this next project. I colored the rose using Sponge Daubers and cut it out by hand. The leaves are stamped directly onto the white layer using the Garden Green Marker and then colored in using a Blender Pen. I added a subtle sparkle to the rose using the Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush.
Uses Rose Wonder Photopolymer Set plus Old Olive Classic Stampin' Pad, Blushing Bride Classic Stampin' Pad, Garden Green Classic Stampin' Pad, Rose Red Classic Stampin' Pad, Regals Collection Stampin' Write Markers (Garden Green), Old Olive Card Stock, Garden Green Card Stock, Rose Red Card Stock, Whisper White Card Stock, SNAIL Adhesive, Mini Glue Dots, Stampin' Dimensionals, Tear & Tape Adhesive, Love Blossoms Embellishment Kit, Sponge Daubers, Blender Pens, Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush, Banner Triple Punch, Paper Snips, Craft Scissors, Stampin' Trimmer, Clear-Mount Block F, and Clear-Mount Block G.
I got the idea for this last project, which only uses the thinlits, from a decorated candle I saw in a store. I knew I could create something similar. I wanted the cut out roses to be very sturdy, especially the one tied to the candle, so I cut them out of a piece of cardboard backing from a package of designer paper. The box is made using the Gift Box Punch Board and the pretty Shine On Specialty Designer Series Paper, which is a little sturdier. I made two of the largest size box possible and cut off the top flaps on each. The candle fits down inside the bottom box with the silver stripes and then the top box with the watermelon triangles is tucked inside of it. I gave the candle and box to my March Club Hostess as an extra thank you gift for being my Hostess during March.
Uses Cucumber Crush Card Stock, Shine On Specialty Designer Series Paper, Gift Box Punch Board, Multipurpose Liquid Glue, 2-Way Glue Pen, Tear & Tape Adhesive, Fine-Tip Glue Pen, Cucumber Crush 1" Dotted Lace Trim, Watermelon Wonder 1" Dotted Lace Trim, Paper Snips, Craft Scissors, Stampin' Trimmer, Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine, Multipurpose Platform, Standard Cutting Pads, Precision Base Plate, Big Shot Die Brush, Rose Garden Thinlits, cardboard from designer paper package, and candle.
I hope you liked the projects I created. If you did, please let me know by leaving a comment. Feel free to Pin, Like, or Tweet any of my creations as well!
