January Occasions Bundle Blog Tour

Welcome to the Blog Tour for January presented by RemARKable Stampers.  You'll be seeing lots of ideas using new products in the awesome new Occasions Catalog and maybe a few goodies from the Sale-A-Bration Brochure as well.

I decided to focus on the adorable Bear Hugs Bundle on page 40 of the Occasions Catalog.  As soon as I learned that I would become a grandma in June, I had to order this cute set.  It makes the most adorable cards for all kinds of occasions.

Here's a cute card that could be used as a Valentine or anniversary card.  I used my favorite new product, the Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush, to color in one of the embossed hearts on the bottom right and to highlight the stamped heart the bears are holding.  This card also fits the color challenge issued by a fellow Demonstrator, Deb Lehigh, for last week.  Her color challenge was to use Tip Top Taupe, Real Red, and Whisper White.

I loved the idea of creating a panda bear for one of the cards.  After stamping the large bear image in black and cutting it out with the framelit, I used the Aqua Painter and some ink from the pad lid to color in his black areas.  Isn't he cute!?

This next card would be great for a birthday wish or to wish someone well.  I used the skirt image to make the curtains for the window.

I sent this card to my brother for his birthday because he loves to fish.  I painted the scales with the Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush before gluing them in place and I stamped the fish on Shimmery White Card Stock.  I did cut the fish out by hand instead of using the matching framelit because I didn't want any outline around them.

I sent this final card to a friend who made us some delicious cookies as a Christmas gift.  I stamped the "You're So Sweet" sentiment on the inside.  A little Gold Wink of Stella adds some shimmer to the honey.
