Welcome to the Blog Tour for September presented by RemARKable Stampers. We'll be focusing on the money-saving Bundles being offered by Stampin' Up! with our blog tours this year. This month we are all focusing on one of the Bundles in the awesome new Holiday Catalog. There are plenty to choose from, so you're going to see lots of variety.
I decided to focus on the awesome Happy Scenes Bundle on page 11 of the Holiday Catalog. It includes the Happy Scenes Photopolymer Stamp Set and Hearth & Home Thinlits Dies. I love this bundle because it covers so many upcoming holidays and you can easily create cards using the bundle or just using the stamp set or the thinlits with other stamps and accessories.
My first card is all about Halloween! The little ghost peeking in the window is cut directly out of the Designer Paper and the eyes on the window sill are created using a couple of vanilla Home for Christmas Enamel Dots with eyeballs drawn on with a Sharpie Marker.
Uses Happy Scenes Photopolymer Set plus Pear Pizzazz Classic Stampin' Pad, Island Indigo Classic Stampin' Pad, Basic Black Stampin' Write Marker, Tangelo Twist Card Stock, Island Indigo Card Stock, Basic Black Card Stock, Very Vanilla Card Stock, Happy Haunting Designer Series Paper, SNAIL Adhesive, 2-Way Glue Pen, Home for Christmas Enamel Dots, Sponge Daubers, Basic Black Archival Stampin' Pad, Banner Punch, Paper Snips, Stampin' Trimmer, Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine, Standard Cutting Pads, Magnetic Platform, Hearth & Home Thinlits, Clear-Mount Block A, Clear-Mount Block B, Clear-Mount Block D, and black Sharpie Marker.
Next, I've got a card perfect for Thanksgiving and fall. Instead of framing the scene with the window frame from the Hearth & Home Thinlits though, I decided to cut it out using the maple leaf shape from the Leaflets Framelits.
Uses Happy Scenes Photopolymer Set plus Old Olive Classic Stampin' Pad, Marina Mist Classic Stampin' Pad, Soft Suede Classic Stampin' Pad, Brights Collection Stampin' Write Markers (Pumpkin Pie), Pumpkin Pie Card Stock, Soft Suede Card Stock, Whisper White Card Stock, SNAIL Adhesive, Mini Glue Dots, Linen Thread, Brights Designer Buttons, Sponge Daubers, Basic Black Archival Stampin' Pad, Paper Snips, Craft Scissors, Stampin' Trimmer, Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine, Multipurpose Platform, Standard Cutting Pads, Magnetic Platform, Leaflets Framelits, Bitty Banners Framelits, Woodgrain Embossing Folder, Clear-Mount Block D, and Clear-Mount Block G.
Now, how about a card that could be used for any winter holiday or event? For a different look, I framed the snowy pine trees with ovals cut using the Ovals Collection Framelits instead of the window frame.
Uses Happy Scenes Photopolymer Set plus Soft Sky Classic Stampin' Pad, Always Artichoke Classic Stampin' Pad, Soft Sky Card Stock, Always Artichoke Card Stock, Whisper White Card Stock, SNAIL Adhesive, Stampin' Dimensionals, 2-Way Glue Pen, Silver Metallic Thread, Winter Wonderland Embellishments, Dazzling Diamonds Stampin' Glitter, Snow Flurry Punch, Paper Snips, Craft Scissors, Stampin' Trimmer, Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine, Multipurpose Platform, Standard Cutting Pads, Magnetic Platform, Ovals Collection Framelits, Sleigh Ride Edgelits, Softly Falling Embossing Folder, Clear-Mount Block A, Clear-Mount Block B, and Clear-Mount Block D.
Finally, I created a card that only uses the Hearth & Home Thinlits and no actual stamping at all.
Uses Soft Suede Card Stock, Very Vanilla Card Stock, Metallic Foil Doilies, Gold Foil Sheets, Winter Wonderland Designer Vellum Stack, SNAIL Adhesive, Mini Glue Dots, Fine-Tip Glue Pen, Pearl Basic Jewels, Snowflake Elements, Heat Tool, Gold Stampin' Emboss Powder, VersaMark Pad, Paper Snips, Stampin' Trimmer, Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine, Standard Cutting Pads, Magnetic Platform, Hearth & Home Thinlits, and Christmas Greetings Thinlits.
Don't forget that the Hearth & Home Thinlits also coordinate with the Festive Fireplace Bundle on page 10 of the Holiday Catalog. And, of course, you can use many of our other stamp sets to create a scene in the window. A few that come immediately to mind are Lovely as a Tree, White Christmas, Gift from the Garden, Sheltering Tree, World of Dreams, and Cozy Christmas.
I hope you liked the projects I created. If you did, please let me know by leaving a comment. Feel free to Pin, Like, or Tweet any of my creations as well!
