Welcome to the Blog Tour for August presented by RemARKable Stampers. We'll be focusing on the money-saving Bundles being offered by Stampin' Up! with our blog tours this year. There are so many Bundles in the big catalog, we couldn't even decide which one to focus on this month! So, each Demonstrator gets to focus on whichever Bundle they want. You're going to see lots of variety, but they'll all be awesome!
I decided to focus on the Honeycomb Hello Bundle on page 84. This bundle includes the Honeycomb Hello Set in your choice of Clear-Mount or Wood-Mount and the coordinating Hexagon Hive Thinlits Die. There are a few other products that coordinate with this bundle as you'll see in my projects. Plus, I feel like this is an often overlooked bundle.
First, I used the Hexagon Hive Thinlits Die in the "normal" manner, just cutting a piece of card stock with it and layering it on my card. I layered it over a piece of the English Garden Designer Series Paper which has bees all over it. It's perfect for this bundle! I did sponge some Hello Honey Ink all over it first. By the way, the Fine-Tip Glue Pen that will be available soon in the Holiday Catalog is perfect to use when adhering the hive cutout!

Next, I used just a portion of the Hexagon Hive cutout that I'd trimmed down with my Paper Snips. The heart image in this set is also a perfect match for the small heart punch included in the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack.

I think this next card is my favorite. No bees on it, but I did use the coordinating Honeycomb Embossing Folder, Hexagon Punch, heart punch from the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack, and heart-shaped Itty Bitty Accents Epoxy Sticker. This time I used the Hexagon Hive Thinlits to cut a piece of Designer Series Paper and just used the tiny hexagons that are cut out in the middle of the Hexagon Punch pieces.

One of my favorite ways to use the Hexagon Hive Thinlits Die is to create a soccer ball by layering the cutout over a piece of card stock and then punching out a circle (or cutting one out with the Circles Collection Framelits). This makes a great card for my soccer loving guys!

For my final project, I used the Hexagon Hive Thinlits Die as a mask and sponged Smoky Slate Ink through it onto some white card stock to create a patterned background. The X's on the bottom of the card were created with the new Festive Flower Builder Punch available soon in the Holiday Catalog.

Wow! Wow! Wow! I love the Watercolor Wishes Card Kit available from Stampin' Up! This awesome kit gives you everything you need (except a few adhesives) to create 20 gorgeous cards for a variety of occasions. You can put them all together in just a couple of hours and keep them handy for when you need them by storing them in the pretty box the kit comes in. Or, keep all the pieces in the box and just whip out a beautiful card in minutes when you need it. If you make all the cards as shown in the pictorial directions included with the kit, then you'll still have a few embellishments left over and you'll always have the Ink Spots, Clear-Mount Block, and Stamp Set included with the kit so you can use them again and again and again.
Check out these gorgeous cards made as intended using the kit components. The only thing you have to add are some adhesives. I recommend SNAIL Adhesive or Fast Fuse Adhesive, Mini Glue Dots, and 2-Way Glue Pen or Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

The envelopes that come in the kit arrive wrapped in a pretty belly band. I cut the belly band apart and used it as an embellishment on these next two cards. I used the negative space left over after removing one of the word bubble embellishments for the intended cards as a mask and sponged ink through it to create another word bubble shape which I cut out and corner rounded for this next card.

I learned the fun technique on this card from watching the live stream recordings of Stampin' Up!'s Convention this year. I love that they offer Demonstrators the chance to watch some of the sessions even if we can't attend in person! This card uses the Age Awareness Photopolymer Stamp Set along with this fun technique.

To create the glittery stripes on the Pacific Point strip, just lay the striped mask from the Happy Patterns Decorative Masks on top of the card stock. You can use Post-It Notes to help secure the mask in place and protect your work surface if you wish. Squirt a small amount of Dazzling Details onto a surface like a button container lid or a piece of wax paper. Use your Sponge Dauber to pick up some of the Dazzling Details and daub it onto the card stock through the mask. Repeat until you've covered the entire strip of card stock. Remove the mask and allow the card stock to dry thoroughly. Rinse your mask and Sponge Dauber immediately with water to remove excess Dazzling Details. Cool technique, isn't it?

When coloring with a Blender Pen, squeeze the lid of the ink pad into the pad before opening. This will give you a pool of ink on the inside of the lid that you can pick up with the Blender Pen to color your image. Be sure to stroke in one direction only with the pen tip to avoid pilling and tearing the card stock.
The flower image and matching Pansy Punch are not symmetrical. To make it easy to stamp the flower and punch it out without having to constantly rotate your card stock, stamp the flower and figure out which way it fits into the punch. Then, draw an up arrow on the foam on the back of the stamp using a Sharpie Marker. Make sure you always stamp with the arrow pointing up and then slide the card stock into the punch for easy punching.

I give my Club Members who attend Classes each month some "homework" - a selection of basic supplies like cardstock, designer paper, ribbons, buttons, etc. Their assignment is to take those basic supplies and turn them into a card, tag, scrapbook page, scrapbook page embellishment, etc. and bring their creation with them to a Club Class the following month.
For June, each person received the following supplies:
Crushed Curry card base
4" x 5-1/4" piece of Mossy Meadow Card Stock
4" x 5-1/4" piece of Tangerine Tango Card Stock
3-7/8" x 5-1/8" piece of Very Vanilla Card Stock
9" piece of Mossy Meadow 5/8" Striped Cotton Ribbon
Antique Brad
Of course, they were allowed to add whatever other supplies they wanted and they didn't have to use all of the supplies that I provided, just as many as they could.
It was really fun at July Classes to see the very different projects that were created using these same basic supplies.
I scanned all the projects in and then sent an e-mail to all my Club Members asking them to vote for their favorite project.
