Uses Floral Wings Host Only Photopolymer Set plus Mint Macaron Classic Stampin' Pad, Mossy Meadow Classic Stampin' Pad, Melon Mambo Classic Stampin' Pad, Blushing Bride Classic Stampin' Pad, Mint Macaron Cardstock, Melon Mambo Cardstock, Blushing Bride Cardstock, Whisper White Cardstock, English Garden Designer Series Paper, SNAIL Adhesive, Mini Glue Dots, 2-Way Glue Pen, Whisper White Baker's Twine, Mint Macaron 1" Dotted Lace Trim, Silver Basic Metal Buttons, Craft Scissors, Stampin' Trimmer, Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine, Standard Cutting Pads, Magnetic Platform, Greetings Thinlits, Clear-Mount Block A, Clear-Mount Block B, Post-It Notes (for masking), floss threader, and dryer sheets.
Use a floss threader to make it easier to thread twine or ribbon through button holes.
Use a dryer sheet to easily remove thin cutouts from Thinlits and Framelits. To do this, you will want to fold a cheap dryer sheet in half and then in half again so you have four layers of dryer sheet. You can use more expensive dryer sheets, but the cheap ones work great, so save some money. Build your sandwich by putting the Magnetic Platform on your Big Shot first. Place a Standard Cutting Pad on top. Put down the piece of card stock and then put the Thinlits or Framelits die on top with the cutting edge facing down. Place the other Standard Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot. Remove the Standard Cutting Pad and carefully lift the card stock so that the Thinlits or Framelits die does not move. If it moves, then it will cut the card stock again and mess up your die cut piece. Place your folded dryer sheet on the Cutting Pad still on the Magnetic Platform. Place the card stock with the Thinlits or Framelits die on top of it on the dryer sheet. Replace the other Cutting Pad and run through the Big Shot again. The Thinlits or Framelits die should pop right off. Pinch up on edge of the cutout and peel it up off the dryer sheet. Any little bits and pieces should remain behind stuck to the dryer sheet. If they don’t, they will still be easy for you to pop out.
It is tempting to try to save a step by placing the dryer sheet under the card stock to begin with, but this will not work. I’m not sure exactly why, but it doesn’t! The Thinlits or Framelits die will just cut through the dryer sheet as well and things won’t peel apart easily.
Sometimes there is enough residue left on the Thinlits or Framelits die that you won’t even need to use the dryer sheet the next time you use it. Things will just pop apart!
