Since we've gotten even more snow (sigh!), I thought it would be appropriate to share this card that we made in my Club Classes this month. It uses the Starburst Sayings Bundle and would make a great card to celebrate a snow day (if you celebrate them; personally, I'm tired of them!). It's a fun fold card that is held closed by tying together the two tags on the ends.
Uses Starburst Sayings Clear-Mount Set plus Midnight Muse Classic Stampin' Pad, Soft Sky Classic Stampin' Pad, Midnight Muse Card Stock, Whisper White Card Stock, Soft Sky Card Stock, Silver Glimmer Paper, Silver Foil Sheets, Candy Dots Brad Bases, Rhinestone Basic Jewels, Silver 1/8" Ribbon, SNAIL Adhesive, Stampin' Dimensionals, Sticky Strip, Stampin' Trimmer, Paper Snips, Craft Scissors, Simply Scored Scoring Tool, Paper-Piercing Tool, Stampin' Pierce Mat, 1-1/4" Scallop Circle Punch, Angled Tag Topper Punch, Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine, Multipurpose Platform, Big Shot Magnetic Platform, Standard Cutting Pads, Circles Collection Framelits, Starburst Framelits, Decorative Dots Embossing Folder (available for FREE during Sale-A-Bration), Clear-Mount Block B, and Clear-Mount Block E.
The Simply Scored Scoring Tool was used to score the shorter tag so it could be folded and partially adhered behind the interior white layer.
We used the Starburst Framelits to cut out both of the Starburst Sayings images, but we had to do some fancy punching to create a layer behind the small Starburst Sayings image. We punched out a scallop circle from a piece of Silver Foil Sheets using the 1-1/4" Scallop Circle Punch. Then, we created a little "handle" of card stock by just cutting a long, thin strip of card stock from a piece of scrap. We lightly adhered that to the back of the scallop circle we'd punched out. We then slid the punched out piece back into the punch using the handle and rotated it until we'd be punching half way through each scallop bump. After punching, we had a small starburst the perfect size to layer behind the stamped image!
