I made this fun birthday card using the Another Great Year Set for a friend's young daughter. The white tag was cut using a Chalk Talk Framelit and then layered on a chocolate tag created with the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch. They mirror each other quite well, don't you think?
Uses Another Great Year Clear-Mount Set plus Crisp Cantaloupe Classic Stampin' Pad, 2013-2015 In Color Stampin' Write Markers (Crisp Cantaloupe), Subtles Collection Stampin' Write Markers (Calypso Coral, So Saffron, and Wild Wasabi), Regals Collection Stampin' Write Markers (Garden Green), Crisp Cantaloupe Card Stock, Chocolate Chip Card Stock, Whisper White Card Stock, Calypso Coral Card Stock, Wild Wasabi Card Stock, Jet Black StazOn Ink Pad, Retro Fresh This and That Designer Washi Tape, Wild Wasabi 1/4" Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon, Calypso Coral Baker's Twine, SNAIL Adhesive, 2-Way Glue Pen, Stampin' Trimmer, Paper Snips, Craft Scissors, Scallop Trim Border Punch, Cupcake Builder Punch, Scalloped Tag Topper Punch, Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine, Big Shot Magnetic Platform, Chalk Talk Framelits, Clear-Mount Block A, and Clear-Mount Block B.
To create the layered tag, cut a piece of card stock to 1-11/16" wide. Insert one short end under one end of the Chalk Talk Framelit and leave the other end sticking out on top of the other end of the Framelit. Run the top portion through the Big Shot and then back it back out without running it all the way through the machine. If you run it all the way through, the bottom portion of the framelit will leave a crease in your card stock.
Cut another color of card stock to 1-15/16" wide. Insert it into the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch and punch.
Once you've finished stamping, coloring, and embellishing your upper tag, adhere it to the lower tag leaving a border all around it. Slide the tag back into the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch while holding the punch upside down so you can see where it is punching. Line up the previously punched ribbon hole with the portion of the punch that punches it out and punch. You're done, you've got a cool layered tag!
