Welcome to the Best of Sale-A-Bration Blog Tour hosted by RemARKable Stampers. This is our last Best of Blog Tour. All of the Best of Sets are available until March 31, 2014. Enjoy!
My first card uses a cool sketch I found recently on a blog called Around the World Stampin' Up! Challenges.
Uses Best of Sale-A-Bration Clear-Mount Set and Pleasant Poppies Wood-Mount background stamp plus Calypso Coral Classic Stampin' Pad, Crisp Cantaloupe Card Stock, Soft Suede Card Stock, Calypso Coral Card Stock, Rhinestone Basic Jewels, Natural 5/8" Chevron Ribbon, SNAIL Adhesive, Stampin' Dimensionals, Sticky Strip, Stampin' Trimmer, Paper Snips, Craft Scissors, 1-3/8" Circle Punch, 1-1/4" Circle Punch, Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine, Multipurpose Platform, Big Shot Magnetic Platform, Standard Cutting Pads, Banners Framelits, Woodgrain Embossing Folder, and Clear-Mount Block D.
I added some touches of gold to my next card along with some ink splatters created by dipping a wet Aqua Painter into a puddle of water mixed with ink and then holding the Aqua Painter over the card stock while tapping it with my finger to make the ink fly off. It's kind of messy, but fun!
Uses Best of Sale-A-Bration Clear-Mount Set plus Night of Navy Classic Stampin' Ink Refill, Old Olive Stampin' Write Marker, Night of Navy Stampin' Write Marker, Old Olive Card Stock, Whisper White Card Stock, Night of Navy Card Stock, Gold Foil Sheets, Aqua Painters, Gold Metallic Encore Pad, Gold Stampin' Emboss Powder, Heat Tool, Very Vintage Designer Buttons, Watercolor Wonder Designer Washi Tape, Whisper White Baker's Twine, SNAIL Adhesive, 2-Way Glue Pen, Glue Dots, Stampin' Trimmer, Craft Scissors, Extra-Large Oval Punch, Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine, Multipurpose Platform, Standard Cutting Pads, Designer Frames Embossing Folders, Clear-Mount Block B, and Clear-Mount Block D.
More touches of gold and more ink splatters on this next card. I used a different technique for the ink splatters though. This technique was taught at Leadership by Shelli Gardner herself! Take a piece of paper left over after removing the Glue Dots from the roll and press it onto an ink pad (or scribble on it with a Marker). The ink will bead up on the slick paper. Hold the inky side of the paper strip over your project and flick the back of the paper strip to make the ink fly off. If you want to make larger drops of ink, just add a tiny amount of water to the inked up strip with an Aqua Painter before flicking it. Since I used the Gold Metallic Encore Ink Pad to ink up my paper strip, I had to add a little water.
Uses Best of Sale-A-Bration Clear-Mount Set and Express Yourself Hostess Only Clear-Mount Set plus Whisper White Card Stock, Pink Pirouette Card Stock, Tea Lace Paper Doilies, Gold Foil Sheets, Aqua Painters, VersaMark Pad, Gold Metallic Encore Pad, Gold Stampin' Emboss Powder, Heat Tool, Watercolor Wonder Designer Washi Tape, Gold Sequin Trim, SNAIL Adhesive, 2-Way Glue Pen, Glue Dots (for paper strip), Stampin' Dimensionals, Stampin' Trimmer, Paper Snips, Modern Label Punch, Small Oval Punch, Clear-Mount Block B, and Clear-Mount Block G.

Thanks, Jenny. I explained how to do the two different splattering techniques in the paragraphs right above each card. Have fun giving it a try!

Thanks, Maria. The technique for splattering that Shelli taught is really quite easy. Give it a try sometime!
