Welcome to the Best of Snow Blog Tour hosted by RemARKable Stampers. Enjoy!
I love how this first card turned out; the hedgehog and his hedgehog snowman friend are just too adorably cute!
Uses Best of Snow Clear-Mount Set and Banner Greetings Hostess Only Clear-Mount Set plus Tangerine Tango Classic Stampin' Pad, Chocolate Chip Classic Stampin' Pad, Brights Collection Stampin' Write Markers (Tangerine Tango), Neutrals Collection Stampin' Write Markers (Sahara Sand), Subtles Collection Stampin' Write Markers (Soft Sky), Regals Collection Stampin' Write Markers (Crushed Curry), Whisper White Card Stock, Soft Sky Card Stock, Sweater Weather Designer Series Paper, Subtles Designer Buttons, Linen Thread, SNAIL Adhesive, Glue Dots, Stampin' Trimmer, Paper Snips, Craft Scissors, 1" Square Punch, Clear-Mount Block B, and Clear-Mount Block D.
This next card was inspired by one created by my Club Member Shannon Aydukovic for a recent Club Contest. I told you I'd be CASE'ing it, Shannon! It's a really cute flip (or flip-flop or swing) card.
Uses Best of Snow Clear-Mount Set plus Soft Sky Classic Stampin' Pad, Smoky Slate Stampin' Write Marker, Pumpkin Pie Card Stock, Whisper White Card Stock, Soft Sky Card Stock, Rhinestone Basic Jewels, Pear Pizzazz 3/8" Taffeta Ribbon, SNAIL Adhesive, 2-Way Glue Pen, Glue Dots, Stampin' Dimensionals, Sticky Strip, Stampin' Trimmer, Paper Snips, Craft Scissors, 1-1/4" Circle Punch, 1-3/4" Circle Punch, 2-1/2" Circle Punch, Label Bracket Punch, Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine, Big Shot Magnetic Platform, Standard Cutting Pads, Circle Card Thinlits Die, and Clear-Mount Block D.
My final project uses a fun-fold technique. The top flap is held closed by the snowflake circle image attached to the bottom flap with a small piece of Stampin' Dimensionals stuck to the bottom of the circle only so that the top flap will slide behind it. This can be used as a card or as a fun gift card holder.
Uses Best of Snow Clear-Mount Set and Express Yourself Hostess Only Clear-Mount Set plus Smoky Slate Classic Stampin' Pad, Island Indigo Classic Stampin' Pad, Pumpkin Pie Stampin' Write Marker, Neutrals Collection Stampin' Write Markers (Basic Gray), Subtles Collection Stampin' Write Markers (Pool Party), Regals Collection Stampin' Write Markers (Cherry Cobbler, Garden Green, and Island Indigo), Smoky Slate Card Stock, Whisper White Card Stock, Pool Party Card Stock, Island Indigo Card Stock, Winter Frost Specialty Designer Series Paper, Dazzling Diamonds Stampin' Glitter, Rhinestone Basic Jewels, SNAIL Adhesive, 2-Way Glue Pen, Stampin' Dimensionals, Stampin' Trimmer, Paper Snips, Scallop Edge Border Punch, 1/2" Circle Punch, 1" Circle Punch, 3/4" Circle Punch, Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine, Big Shot Magnetic Platform, Standard Cutting Pads, Ovals Collection Framelits, Clear-Mount Block C, Clear-Mount Block D, and Clear-Mount Block G.
Here's what it looks like with the top flap open:

I mailed another big box full of cards to Operation Write Home this afternoon. Here's what got sent:
73 blank cards
53 thinking of you/hello/friendship cards
16 birthday cards
11 love cards
11 Christmas cards
10 thank you cards
7 Valentine's Day cards
5 congratulations cards
5 Mother's Day or Father's Day cards
4 Easter cards
4 Halloween cards
3 Thanksgiving cards
3 graduation cards
They still need more cards though! So, I'm still accepting donations. I have a box to accept donated cards at all of my events or you can just drop them by or mail them to me at any time. Just remember the basic rules - absolutely no glitter, no handwritten messages anywhere on the card, must be handmade, 4 1/4 x 5 1/2" size much preferred, and put liner of plain white paper inside cards with dark card stock bases. They have also started requesting no get well, sympathy, new baby, or wedding cards.
Operation Write Home is a charity project that provides handmade cards to our military service members who are deployed so they can write home. They accept donations of handmade cards with envelopes and send them to the troops so they can choose the card they need to send a message home.
If you want to learn more about Operation Write Home and get some more tips on the types of cards they need most, why glitter is bad, why they only accept handmade cards, how to donate money to them, etc., please check out their website at Operation Write Home.
We made various gift tags at my December Club Classes this past weekend. Here's the first one we made using the "To: From:" stamp in the Very Merry Tags Set. It's being held by a lovely angel made using the Gift Bow Bigz L Die.
Uses Very Merry Tags Wood-Mount Set plus Smoky Slate Classic Stampin' Pad, Whisper White Card Stock, Pink Pirouette Card Stock, Silver Glimmer Paper, Frosted Finishes Embellishments, Whisper White Baker's Twine, Sticky Strip, Stampin' Trimmer, Paper Snips, Craft Scissors, Mosaic Punch, 1" Circle Punch, 1-1/4" Circle Punch, 1/16" Handheld Circle Punch (retired), Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine, Multipurpose Platform, and Gift Bow Bigz L Die.
Those who wanted to could draw a face on the angel using the Blushing Bride Marker. I didn't attempt to do so because I really don't draw very well!
Here are the two cards everyone got to make last Friday night in my Punch Art Class. In addition to the completed cards, they also got to make a "recipe" card with step by step directions for creating each of these two punch art creations.
We did a couple of Christmas themed punch arts this month. First, a fun punch art reindeer! I got this cool idea from another Demonstrator online, but tweaked it a bit to make it my own. If you don't have the mosaic ornament image from the Very Merry Tags Set, you can create the hat without it using just the punches.
Uses Christmas Messages Clear-Mount Set and Very Merry Tags Wood-Mount Set plus Early Espresso Classic Stampin' Pad, Cherry Cobbler Classic Stampin' Pad, Crumb Cake Card Stock, Early Espresso Card Stock, Soft Suede Card Stock, Very Vanilla Card Stock, Blushing Bride Card Stock, Cherry Cobbler Card Stock, SNAIL Adhesive, 2-Way Glue Pen, Stampin' Trimmer, Paper Snips, Mosaic Punch, Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack, Cupcake Builder Punch, Bird Builder Punch, Chevron Border Punch, Christmas Ornament Punch, Merry Minis Punch Pack, and Clear-Mount Block B.
I won a card-making contest sponsored by Stampin' Up! on World-Card Making Day back in October, so they sent me an extra Paper Pumpkin Noel Monthly Kit as a prize. We used it as the basis for this next card featuring a punch art Santa Claus hat.
Uses Real Red Card Stock, Silver Glimmer Paper, SNAIL Adhesive, Sticky Strip, Paper Snips, Word Window Punch, Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack, Scallop Oval Punch, Extra-Large Oval Punch, Merry Minis Punch Pack, and Paper Pumpkin Noel Monthly Kit.
I will not be sharing the recipe cards on my blog as they are perk of attending the class. Sorry! However, with a little experimentation, you should be able to figure out the punch art from the list of products used!
Welcome to the RemARKable Stamp of the Month Blog Tour for December. We are focusing on the Monstermaniacs Set or Spread the Joy Set or both this month. Both of these sets were designed and voted on by customers, Demonstrators, and Stampin' Up! employees as part of an In With You design contest by Stampin' Up!
I decided to focus on the Spread the Joy Set. I love the "bucket list" theme to this set. Remember, this set is only available until January 2, 2014. Don't miss your chance to own it!
My first card is a very simple one using minimal supplies. I inked up the whole stamp with the Calypso Coral Ink Pad and then just colored over the words "Be Joyful" with the Real Red Marker before stamping to make them pop a bit. I also used the fine tip of the marker to color in the "o" heart in the "Love a Lot" sentiment.
Uses Spread the Joy Clear-Mount Set plus Calypso Coral Classic Stampin' Pad, Real Red Stampin' Write Marker, Whisper White Card Stock, Calypso Coral Card Stock, I Am Me Designer Series Paper, Calypso Coral 3/4" Chevron Ribbon, SNAIL Adhesive, 2-Way Glue Pen, Glue Dots, Stampin' Trimmer, Paper Snips, Craft Scissors, and Clear-Mount Block I.
I had some supplies left from the Merry Little Christmas Simply Created Card Kit, so I used them to create this pretty love card. I think I'll give it to my husband for our 25th anniversary in January!
Uses Spread the Joy Clear-Mount Set plus Gumball Green Classic Stampin' Pad, Real Red Classic Stampin' Pad, Coastal Cabana Card Stock, Real Red Card Stock, Whisper White Card Stock, Merry Little Christmas Simply Created Card Kit, Blender Pens, Neutrals Designer Buttons, SNAIL Adhesive, 2-Way Glue Pen, Glue Dots, Stampin' Trimmer, Paper Snips, Craft Scissors, Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine, Multipurpose, Big Shot Magnetic Platform, Standard Cutting Pads, Hearts Collection Framelits, Adorning Accents Embossing Folders, and Clear-Mount Block C.
My final card is a fun one that would be perfect for anyone graduating or starting a new adventure like a new job or a major trip. It's a shaker card with the shaker portion hidden behind a peekaboo frame.
Uses Spread the Joy Clear-Mount Set plus Island Indigo Classic Stampin' Pad, Regals Collection Stampin' Write Markers (Island Indigo), Whisper White Card Stock, Pool Party Card Stock, Island Indigo Card Stock, Winter Frost Specialty Designer Series Paper, Dazzling Diamonds Stampin' Glitter, Pool Party 1/2" Seam Binding Ribbon, SNAIL Adhesive, Shaker Frames, Stampin' Dimensionals, Sticky Strip, Stampin' Trimmer, Paper Snips, Craft Scissors, 1-1/4" Scallop Circle Punch, 1" Circle Punch, Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine, Big Shot Magnetic Platform, Standard Cutting Pads, Circles Collection Framelits, Top Note Bigz Die, Peekaboo Frames Bigz L Die, and Clear-Mount Block C.
