We made this fun, interactive Christmas card using the Festive Flurry Set at my Club Classes in August. A card like this used to be very difficult to make, but now it's easy using the new Circle Card Thinlits Die.
Uses Festive Flurry Clear-Mount Set and More Merry Messages Clear-Mount Set (still available as a write-in item) plus Whisper White Card Stock, Pool Party Card Stock, Winter Frost Specialty Designer Series Paper, Silver Metallic Encore Pad, Rhinestone Basic Jewels, Whisper White Baker's Twine, SNAIL Adhesive, 2-Way Glue Pen, Stampin' Trimmer, Craft Scissors, Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine, Big Shot Magnetic Platform, Standard Cutting Pads, Circles Collection Framelits, Festive Flurry Framelits, Circle Card Thinlits, Clear-Mount Block C, and Clear-Mount Block D.
Not only is it a flip-flop card (sometimes called a flip card or a swing card), but the snowflake can also spin! After assembling and before sliding the card into an envelope, simply twist the snowflake around a few times. When the card is removed from the envelope and opened, the tension in the Baker's Twine will be released and the snowflake will spin!
To make this card, we first cut out the basic card using the Circle Card Thinlits. Before folding the card, we cut out the center of the circle portion using a slightly smaller Circles Collection Framelit. We tied a piece of Baker's Twine across the center of the circle and then adhered a stamped and cut out snowflake on either side of the center of the Baker's Twine. Voila!
Watch this short video by Stampin' Up! to see how easy it is to use the Circle Card and Label Card Thinlits Dies and to get some additional ideas for using them:
Thanks, Rachelle. Have fun CASEing it!
