Here's one of the cards we made in my Club Classes this month featuring interactive cards. This one uses Washi Tape to create an easy shaker card embellished with the Tags 4 You Set.
Uses Tags 4 You Wood-Mount Set plus Old Olive Classic Stampin' Pad, Old Olive Card Stock, Real Red Card Stock, Crumb Cake Card Stock, Whisper White Card Stock, Silver Glimmer Paper, Window Sheets, Gold & Silver Stampin' Glitter, Rhinestone Basic Jewels, Season of Style Designer Washi Tape, SNAIL Adhesive, 2-Way Glue Pen, Stampin' Dimensionals, Stampin' Trimmer, Paper Snips, Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack, Merry Minis Punch Pack (still available as a write-in item), Label Bracket Punch, Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine, Multipurpose Platform, Standard Cutting Pads, and Modern Mosaic Embossing Folder.
These shaker cards were taught at Convention this summer by Pam Morgan. You can see Pam's version and get her directions by watching this video of the Opening Session. Pam's version of the shaker card starts at about the 1:02 mark.
Basically, you just create a pouch by adhering a piece of card stock and a piece of Window Sheet together on three sides using Washi Tape folded around the edges. After you've created the pouch by closing up three sides, add some punched elements, glitter, beads, small buttons, etc. and then seal the top of the pouch with more Washi Tape.
Each month, I challenge the members of my Stampin' Clubs to create a project for a contest and submit it to me. I assign a theme for them each month.
The theme for August was Something New. They could create any kind of project they wanted as long as it used at least one new product on it (new in the big catalog).
Only one of my Club Members had time to participate this month, so Connie Gibbons was the automatic winner with this pretty card:
Uses Morning Meadow Hostess Only Set and A Round Array Set plus Crisp Cantaloupe Classic Stampin' Pad, Crisp Cantaloupe Card Stock, Whisper White Card Stock, Dazzling Details, Crisp Cantaloupe 3/8" Ruffle Stretch Trim, SNAIL Adhesive, Stampin' Dimensionals, Sticky Strip, Stampin' Trimmer, Paper Snips, Craft Scissors, 7/8" Scallop Circle Punch, retired corner rounder punch, Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine, Multipurpose Platform, Standard Cutting Pads, and Petals-a-Plenty Embossing Folder.
Connie gets a $5 coupon to use on her next order with me. Congrats, Connie! It's a lovely card!

Here are the extra treats I made for my Club Members who came to Club Classes this month. They are fun bows made with the Gift Bow Bigz L Die and assorted Designer Papers, buttons, and ribbons. They are really quite easy to create!
Uses Gingham Garden Designer Series Paper, Etcetera Designer Series Paper, Epic Day This and That Designer Series Paper, Brights Designer Buttons, Neutrals Designer Buttons, Subtles Designer Buttons, Regals Designer Buttons, In Color Boutique Details, Very Vintage Designer Buttons, Vintage Faceted Designer Buttons, Pear Pizzazz 3/8" Taffeta Ribbon, Whisper White 3/8" Taffeta Ribbon, Pool Party 1/2" Seam Binding Ribbon, Very Vanilla 1/2" Seam Binding Ribbon, Calypso Coral Baker's Twine, SNAIL Adhesive, Glue Dots, Sticky Strip, Stampin' Trimmer, Paper Snips, Craft Scissors, Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine, Standard Cutting Pads, and Gift Bow Bigz L Die.
I don't save every little scrap of paper from my crafting because if I did, I'd soon be drowning in paper scraps! However, there are some scraps that are worth saving and turning into another project. That's the case with the two cards in today's post.
This first card uses the negative image of the "thankful" Expressions Thinlits Die that was leftover from one of my Club Class cards back in July and a couple of leaves leftover from the Little Leaves Sizzlits that was used on one of the cards we made during Walk In Wednesday this week.
Uses Real Red Card Stock, Soft Sky Card Stock, Garden Green Card Stock, Regals Designer Buttons, Real Red 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon, SNAIL Adhesive, Glue Dots, 2-Way Glue Pen, Stampin' Trimmer, Paper Snips, Craft Scissors, Boho Blossoms Punch, Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine, Multipurpose Platform, Big Shot Magnetic Platform, Standard Cutting Pads, Little Leaves Sizzlits, Argyle Embossing Folder, and Expressions Thinlits Dies.
This second card uses another one of the negative images of the "thankful" Expressions Thinlits Die that was leftover from the July Club Class card and a technique called "glitter window." I just adhered the card stock to a piece of clear packing tape so the sticky side of the tape showed through the cut out letters. Then, I sprinkled on glitter and smooshed it into the tape with my fingers.
Uses Whisper White Card Stock, Soft Sky Card Stock, Island Indigo Card Stock, Winter Frost Specialty Designer Series Paper, Gold & Silver Stampin' Glitter, Frosted Finishes Embellishments, SNAIL Adhesive, Glue Dots, Stampin' Dimensionals, Stampin' Trimmer, Paper Snips, Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine, Multipurpose Platform, Big Shot Magnetic Platform, Standard Cutting Pads, Finishing Touches Edgelits, Festive Flurry Framelits Dies, Expressions Thinlits Dies, and packing tape.
Have you used your paper scraps in any creative ways?
I absolutely love the Monthly Kit from Paper Pumpkin this month. It's called Pedal Praise and creates a really adorable thank you card.
Here is the card the way Stampin' Up! intended for it to be put together:
Here are three fun variations that I created using nothing but the contents of the kit (and a pair of scissors):

I'm home from my parents' 50th anniversary cruise to Alaska where we all had a wonderful time! I'm still playing catch up on all the e-mails, etc., but I'm ready for another Walk In Wednesday today with two cards inspired by some I saw on Pinterest.
Walk in Wednesday is a day when you can stop by and pick up orders, place orders, pay for orders, look at displays, ask questions, get help with products, sign up for upcoming events, and stamp a couple of quick and easy projects.
You can stop by anytime between 2 p.m and 7 p.m. You don't have to tell me in advance that you are coming, just pop by!
I have lots of orders here ready to be picked up including BOGO Sale Orders and one July Club Order that really needs to be picked up!
There is a very limited amount of retired merchandise still out for sale on a first-come, first-serve basis. I can NOT accept credit cards for retired merchandise purchases, only cash and personal checks.
I have a couple of quick and easy card projects ready for you to stamp if you wish. Cost is $1 per project made. You may make one of each of the two cards available if you wish.
Here are the cards you can stamp today:

I made this card using the new Wetlands Set for my brother-in-law's birthday. He loves hunting and just being outside, so I think he'll like it!
Uses Wetlands Clear-Mount Set plus Soft Suede Classic Ink Pad, Baked Brown Sugar Card Stock, Naturals Ivory Card Stock, Naturals Designer Buttons, Linen Thread, 1-1/4" Burlap Ribbon, SNAIL Adhesive, Glue Dots, Stampin' Dimensionals, Sticky Strip, Stampin' Trimmer, Paper Snips, Craft Scissors, 1" Square Punch, Clear-Mount Block B, and Clear-Mount Block D.
The bundle of threads on top of the button is the pieces of burlap thread that I pulled out of the left edge while fraying it. I just tied them together with a small piece of Linen Thread and then adhered the bundle to the button with a Glue Dot.
Welcome to the Best of Shelli Blog Tour hosted by RemARKable Stampers. Enjoy!
I love the images that Shelli chose as some of her favorites for this Best of ... Set celebrating Stampin' Up!'s 25th anniversary. I just can't imagine how hard it must have been to choose only a few stamps from all the stamps that have been made over the years. I don't think I could narrow it down to so few!
I love how well the Modern Medley Designer Series Paper works with the typewriter image in this set, so I used it on my first creation.
Uses Best of Shelli Clear-Mount Set, Itty Bitty Banners Clear-Mount Set, and Remember Rotary Stamp plus Basic Black Classic Stampin' Pad, Basic Black Stampin' Write Marker, Basic Black Card Stock, Very Vanilla Card Stock, Modern Medley Designer Series Paper, Hardware Clips Essentials, Neutrals Candy Dots, SNAIL Adhesive, Stampin' Dimensionals, Stampin' Trimmer, Paper Snips, Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine, Big Shot Magnetic Platform, Standard Cutting Pads, Bitty Banners Framelits, Clear-Mount Block A, Clear-Mount Block B, and Clear-Mount Block G.
I love being able to alter our Rhinestone and Pearl Basic Jewels by coloring them with a Sharpie Marker like I did on this next card. It's also fun to do a little splattering by dipping a wet Aqua Painter into some ink and then holding it over the card stock while tapping the Aqua Painter.
Uses Best of Shelli Clear-Mount Set and Wetlands Clear-Mount Set plus Coastal Cabana Classic Stampin' Pad, Smoky Slate Classic Stampin' Pad, Smoky Slate Classic Stampin' Ink Refill, Coastal Cabana Card Stock, Smoky Slate Card Stock, Whisper White Card Stock, Eastern Elegance Designer Series Paper, Stampin' Distress Tool, Aqua Painters, Neutrals Designer Buttons, Large Rhinestone Basic Jewels, Coastal Cabana 3/8" Ruffle Stretch Trim, SNAIL Adhesive, Glue Dots, Sticky Strip, Stampin' Trimmer, Paper Snips, Craft Scissors, 1" Square Punch, Clear-Mount Block D, Clear-Mount Block H, water, and Sharpie Marker.
I was having fun splattering, so I did some more on this next card.
Uses Best of Shelli Clear-Mount Set and Express Yourself Hostess Only Clear-Mount Set plus Old Olive Classic Stampin' Pad, Cherry Cobbler Classic Stampin' Pad, Crumb Cake Classic Stampin' Ink Refill, Old Olive Stampin' Write Marker, Neutrals Collection Stampin' Write Markers (Basic Gray and Crumb Cake), Cherry Cobbler Stampin' Write Marker, Crumb Cake Card Stock, Whisper White Card Stock, Cherry Cobbler Card Stock, Aqua Painters, Rhinestone Basic Jewels, SNAIL Adhesive, 2-Way Glue Pen, Stampin' Dimensionals, Stampin' Trimmer, Paper Snips, Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack, Clear-Mount Block A, Clear-Mount Block D, and Clear-Mount Block G.
This final card is pretty clean and simple. I think the swirly sentiment matches the swirly heart pretty well!
Uses Best of Shelli Clear-Mount Set and Remembering Your Birthday Clear-Mount Set plus Real Red Classic Stampin' Pad, Real Red Stampin' Write Marker, Real Red Card Stock, Whisper White Card Stock, SNAIL Adhesive, Stampin' Dimensionals, Stampin' Trimmer, Full Heart Punch, Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine, Multipurpose Platform, Standard Cutting Pads, Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder, Clear-Mount Block B, and Clear-Mount Block H.
Here's a look at the images in the Best of Shelli Set:
I hope you liked the projects I created. If you did, please let me know by leaving a comment. Feel free to Pin, Like, or Tweet any of my creations as well!
