My upline recently offered us the chance to create projects to be put on display at one of her huge events. I jumped at the chance because I love the challenge of creating display pieces and I love getting free product from her to create!
I got the chance to play with some of our new Photopolymer Sets - Show & Tell 1, Show & Tell 2, and Wanderlust! What fun! These photopolymer stamps are so easy to work with because you can definitely see where you are stamping.
Here are the cards I created for her to put on display.
I love this sentiment from the Wanderlust Set and it paired beautifully with the triangle in the Show & Tell 2 Set.
Uses Show & Tell 2 Photopolymer Stamp Set and Wanderlust Photopolymer Stamp Set plus Pear Pizzazz Classic Stampin' Pad, Soft Sky Classic Stampin' Pad, Wild Wasabi Classic Stampin' Pad, Garden Green Classic Stampin' Pad, Whisper White Card Stock, Soft Sky Card Stock, Garden Green Card Stock, 1/8" Mini Brads, SNAIL Adhesive, Stampin' Dimensionals, Stampin' Trimmer, Paper Snips, Paper-Piercing Tool, Stampin' Pierce Mat, 1/2" Circle Punch, Clear-Mount Block A, Clear-Mount Block C, and Clear-Mount Block G.
I had to use the Stamp-a-ma-jig for this next card, but only because I used the Filmstrip single image stamp and it only comes in Wood-Mount!
Uses Show & Tell 2 Photopolymer Stamp Set and Filmstrip Wood-Mount single image stamp plus Melon Mambo Classic Stampin' Pad, Pacific Point Classic Stampin' Pad, Pumpkin Pie Classic Stampin' Pad, Melon Mambo Card Stock, Pacific Point Card Stock, Whisper White Card Stock, Brights Designer Buttons, Whisper White Baker's Twine, SNAIL Adhesive, Glue Dots, Stampin' Trimmer, Paper Snips, Craft Scissors, Clear-Mount Block B, Clear-Mount Block G, and Stamp-a-ma-jig.
I just had to use the images in the Wanderlust Set to make my own postcard! I thought the one image from the Show & Tell 1 Set looked a little like a pencil, so I turned it into one.
Uses Show & Tell 1 Photopolymer Stamp Set, Show & Tell 2 Photopolymer Stamp Set, and Wanderlust Photopolymer Stamp Set plus Real Red Classic Stampin' Pad, Basic Black Classic Stampin' Pad, Crushed Curry Classic Stampin' Pad, Brights Collection Stampin' Write Markers (Bermuda Bay, Old Olive, and Pumpkin Pie), Neutrals Collection Stampin' Write Markers (Basic Gray and Crumb Cake), Daffodil Delight Card Stock, Real Red Card Stock, Whisper White Card Stock, Blender Pens, Silver Metallic Encore Pad (available August 1 in Holiday Catalog), SNAIL Adhesive, 2-Way Glue Pen, Stampin' Trimmer, Paper Snips, 1" Square Punch, Postage Stamp Punch, Clear-Mount Block A, Clear-Mount Block C, Clear-Mount Block D, Clear-Mount Block G, and Clear-Mount Block H.
Here's a soft and pretty card featuring one of our new In Colors, Crisp Cantaloupe. The doily has a little bit of gold on the edges from rubbing it lightly across the Gold Metallic Encore Pad.
Uses Show & Tell 1 Photopolymer Stamp Set plus Crisp Cantaloupe Classic Stampin' Pad, Crisp Cantaloupe Card Stock, Whisper White Card Stock, Pink Pirouette Card Stock, Tea Lace Paper Doilies, 2013-2015 In Color Core'dinations Card Stock, Stampin' Sanding System, Core'dinations Dust Buddy, Gold Metallic Encore Pad (available August 1 in Holiday Catalog), Crisp Cantaloupe 3/8" Ruffle Stretch Trim, SNAIL Adhesive, Sticky Strip, Stampin' Trimmer, Paper Snips, Craft Scissors, 1" Circle Punch, Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine, Multipurpose Platform, Standard Cutting Pads, Beautifully Baroque Embossing Folder, Clear-Mount Block B, and Clear-Mount Block D.
Here's a cool trick - notch the sides of the card front before tying some ribbon around it. The notches help hold the ribbon in place! I used the 1" Square Punch to make triangular notches. The chevrons at the bottom of the card are actually punched out using the new Chevron Border Punch available soon.
Uses Show & Tell 2 Photopolymer Stamp Set plus Pacific Point Classic Stampin' Pad, Cajun Craze Classic Stampin' Pad, Pacific Point Classic Stampin' Ink Refill, Sahara Sand Card Stock, Stampin' Spritzer, Pacific Point 1/4" Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon, Stampin' Dimensionals, Stampin' Trimmer, Paper Snips, Craft Scissors, 1" Square Punch, Chevron Border Punch (available August 1 in Holiday Catalog), Clear-Mount Block B, Clear-Mount Block G, water, and rubbing alcohol.
I love being able to make cards that really fit the receiver and occasion. It's so easy with our stamps! This one would be perfect for a three-year-old's birthday!
Uses Show & Tell 2 Photopolymer Stamp Set, Remembering Your Birthday Clear-Mount Set, and Morning Post Numbers Clear-Mount Set plus Gumball Green Classic Stampin' Pad, 2013-2015 In Color Stampin' Write Markers (Crisp Cantaloupe), 2012-2014 In Color Stampin' Write Markers (Gumball Green, Raspberry Ripple, and Summer Starfruit), Bermuda Bay Stampin' Write Marker, Smoky Slate Stampin' Write Marker, Gumball Green Card Stock, Bermuda Bay Card Stock, Very Vanilla Card Stock, Birthday Basics Designer Series Paper, Gumball Green 3/8" Stitched Satin Ribbon, SNAIL Adhesive, Glue Dots, 2-Way Glue Pen, Stampin' Trimmer, Paper Snips, Craft Scissors, Clear-Mount Block A, Clear-Mount Block B, and Clear-Mount Block H.
In addition to cards, Jan also requested that we create a few tags for the display. So, here are the ones I designed.
Wouldn't this be a lovely tag for an anniversary or wedding gift? I had a tiny piece of doily left over from one of the cards above, so I used it on this tag instead of throwing it away.
Uses Show & Tell 1 Photopolymer Stamp Set and Show & Tell 2 Photopolymer Stamp Set plus Bermuda Bay Classic Stampin' Pad, Baked Brown Sugar Card Stock, Whisper White Card Stock, Pool Party Card Stock, Tea Lace Paper Doilies, Gold Metallic Encore Pad (available August 1 in Holiday Catalog), Gold Stampin' Emboss Powder, Heat Tool, Baked Brown Sugar 3/8" Ruffle Stretch Trim, Bermuda Bay 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon, Pool Party 1/2" Seam Binding Ribbon, SNAIL Adhesive, Stampin' Dimensionals, Sticky Strip, Paper Snips, Craft Scissors, Crop-a-Dile (retired), Petite Pennants Builder Punch, Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine, Big Shot Magnetic Platform, Standard Cutting Pads, Deco Labels Collection Framelits, Clear-Mount Block A, and Clear-Mount Block B.
I thought this tag would look really pretty on a little girl's present or a present for a bride-to-be or mom-to-be. When stamping on Window Sheets, be careful not to let the stamp slide. If it does, you can wipe the ink off with a baby wipe, dry the Window Sheet, and try again.
Uses Show & Tell 1 Photopolymer Stamp Set plus Window Sheets, Brights Core'dinations Card Stock, Stampin' Sanding System, Core'dinations Dust Buddy, Whisper White Craft Stampin' Ink Pad, Delicate Details Lace Tape, Pink Pirouette 3/8" Taffeta Ribbon, SNAIL Adhesive, Sticky Strip, Stampin' Trimmer, Paper Snips, Craft Scissors, Crop-a-Dile (retired), Simply Scored Scoring Tool, Simply Scored Diagonal Plate, 1-3/4" Circle Punch, Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine, Multipurpose Platform, Big Shot Magnetic Platform, Standard Cutting Pads, Large Scallop Edgelits, Delicate Designs Embossing Folders, and Clear-Mount Block B.
I love to travel, so this tag is perfect for me. If I glued it to some chipboard, it would also make a cool luggage tag. To make a perfect tag shape, score the upper two corners of a rectangle using the Simply Scored Diagonal Plate and then snip off the corners with Paper Snips. Voila! It's really cool that you can bend the Photopolymer Stamps when mounting them onto the Clear-Blocks. I bent the line of small arrows from the Show & Tell 1 Set to make a half circle so I could stamp a circle of arrows around the main sentiment circle.
Uses Show & Tell 1 Photopolymer Stamp Set and Wanderlust Photopolymer Stamp Set plus Pool Party Classic Stampin' Pad, Whisper White Card Stock, I Am Me Designer Series Paper, Brights Core'dinations Card Stock, Subtles Core'dinations Card Stock, Whisper White Craft Stampin' Ink Pad, Basic Gray 1/4" Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon, Whisper White Baker's Twine, SNAIL Adhesive, 2-Way Glue Pen, Stampin' Dimensionals, Stampin' Trimmer, Paper Snips, Craft Scissors, Simply Scored Scoring Tool, Simply Scored Diagonal Plate, 1-3/8" Circle Punch, Chevron Border Punch (available August 1 in Holiday Catalog), Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine, Big Shot Magnetic Platform, Standard Cutting Pads, Chalk Talk Framelits, Clear-Mount Block A, Clear-Mount Block C, Clear-Mount Block D, and Clear-Mount Block G.
Jan also asked us to create a 3-D item of some sort for the display. I created a bunch of clothespin magnets and packaged them in one of our awesome Tag a Bag Gift Boxes. I think these would be great for a refrigerator or filing cabinet to hold coupons, postcards from friends, notes, reminders, shopping lists, favorite photos, and kid's artwork or schoolwork.
Uses Show & Tell Photopolymer Stamp Set, Show & Tell 2 Photopolymer Stamp Set, and Wanderlust Photopolymer Stamp Set plus Gumball Green Classic Stampin' Pad, Bermuda Bay Classic Stampin' Pad, Tangerine Tango Classic Stampin' Pad, Cajun Craze Classic Stampin' Pad, Crushed Curry Classic Stampin' Pad, 2013-2015 In Color Stampin' Write Markers (Gumball Green), Brights Collection Stampin' Write Markers (Bermuda Bay and Tangerine Tango), Very Vanilla Card Stock, Whisper White Card Stock, Brights Core'dinations Card Stock, Tag a Bag Gift Boxes, Tag a Bag Accessory Kit, Gumball Green 3/8" Stitched Satin Ribbon, SNAIL Adhesive, Stampin' Dimensionals, Sticky Strip, Paper Snips, Craft Scissors, 7/8" Scallop Circle Punch, 1/2" Circle Punch, 1" Circle Punch, 3/4" Circle Punch, Clear-Mount Block A, Clear-Mount Block B, Clear-Mount Block C, Clear-Mount Block G, Clear-Mount Block H, clothespins, and magnet sheets.
I got many of my ideas for these projects from the Seeing the Possibilities Downloadable Class that Stampin' Up! is now offering. It's packed full of great ideas for using our Photopolymer Sets with .pdf files of directions, supply lists, and pictures of the completed projects plus a few videos. You can get all the details on this class at my blog post here.
Here's a great little video from Stampin' Up! about the benefits of our Photopolymer Stamps and a few ideas on using them. Enjoy!
