Welcome to the RemARKable Stamp of the Month Blog Tour for July. We are focusing on the Chalk Talk Set this month.
I love that all the stamps now come die-cut so that we don't have to trim them out like we used to have to do. I also love that Stampin' Up! often die-cuts the open center of many stamps so they don't pick up ink in the center. This is the case with the filigree frame image in the Chalk Talk Set. But, don't just throw that piece away! You can use it as a shape stamp like I did on this first card! I also love being able to change the color of many of our Designer Series Papers like I did here. I just used the Brayer to change the white background behind the Calypso Coral dots to Pink Pirouette! Easy peasy and so pretty too!
Uses Chalk Talk Clear-Mount Set plus Blushing Bride Classic Stampin' Pad, Calypso Coral Classic Stampin' Pad (stamped off), Pink Pirouette Classic Stampin' Pad, Whisper White Card Stock, Blushing Bride Card Stock, Pink Pirouette Card Stock, I Am Me Designer Series Paper, Brayer, Candy Dots Brad Bases, Rhinestone Basic Jewels, Blushing Bride 3/4" Chevron Ribbon, SNAIL Adhesive, Stampin' Dimensionals, Sticky Strip, Stampin' Trimmer, Paper Snips, Craft Scissors, Paper-Piercing Tool, Stampin' Pierce Mat, 1-3/8" Circle Punch, Clear-Mount Block B, and Clear-Mount Block C.
I also love that the Chalk Talk Set has the coordinating Chalk Talk Framelits and that you can buy both products together in the Chalk Talk Bundle and save some money! Awesome! Here are two very similar cards that I made using a die-cut shape and then the negative space after I'd cut out that shape. I couldn't let it go to waste!

Uses Chalk Talk Clear-Mount Set plus Wild Wasabi Classic Stampin' Pad, Whisper White Card Stock, Calypso Coral Card Stock, Wild Wasabi Card Stock, Whisper White Craft Stampin' Ink Pad, Epic Day This and That Designer Washi Tape, Calypso Coral 3/4" Chevron Ribbon, SNAIL Adhesive, Stampin' Dimensionals, Sticky Strip, Stampin' Trimmer, Paper Snips, Craft Scissors, Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine, Big Shot Magnetic Platform, Standard Cutting Pads, Labels Collection Framelits, Chalk Talk Framelits, Clear-Mount Block C, and Clear-Mount Block D.
You can use all the stamps in this set including the large tag image for making cards. Just cover the top of the tag with something so it isn't obviously a tag! I used a piece of white card stock that I'd dry embossed with the Beautifully Baroque Embossing Folder and heat embossed with Iridescent Ice Stampin' Emboss Powder and then trimmed out. I also sponged some Whisper White Craft Ink on the bottom of the dry embossed wisteria layer and then sprinkled on more Iridescent Ice Embossing Powder to make a sparkly background. I think this card would be a pretty one to give a birthday girl or a bride-to-be!
