It's a cute little journal for you to keep handy to jot down notes, reminders, shopping lists, phone numbers, addresses, etc.
You get two of these little journals in each Try It Kit though. So, here's an alternative idea for the second one:
Uses Simple Serif Wood-Mount Set (retired, but a similar set called Simply Serif Mini Alphabet Wood-Mount Set is stil available) plus Paper Pumpkin Try It Kit, 2012-2014 In Color Stampin' Write Markers (Gumball Green), Summer Starfruit Card Stock, Epic Day This and That Designer Series Paper, SNAIL Adhesive, 2-Way Glue Pen, Sticky Strip, Stampin' Trimmer (for scoring punched pieces to make tabs), Craft Scissors, Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack, and Decorative Label Punch.
I actually had three of these Try It Kits on hand so that I could make two journals for myself and four of the coupon holders as extra treats for my June Club Hostesses and the first two ladies to get their June Club Orders turned in. I got the idea for the coupon holder from my awesome upline, Janet Wakeland.
First, I glued pages together to make them a little stronger using SNAIL Adhesive. Then, I adhered these stronger pages together on the sides using Sticky Strip to make pockets. The tabs across the top are made by punching out Decorative Label pieces, scoring them across the short middle, folding them over, and adhering them to the back side of each pocket. I deliberatly left the tabs blank so the ladies who get them can write in their own categories. Some ideas for coupons to store in these holders might be "Car," "Restaurant," "Department Store," "Drug Store," or various types of grocery products. I then adhered the front and back covers to those pages and adhered the center pockets together with Sticky Strip. Everything is held closed by tying the Baker's Twine that comes in the Try It Kit around the center.
After making the journals and coupon holders, I still had some Baker's Twine and self-adhesive butterflies left over, plus the negative space images from the butterflies. Of course, I had the Island Indigo Ink Spot, the Clear-Mount Block, and the two stamps that come in the Kit as well which I can reuse again and again on a variety of projects. So, I decided to use the left overs to make these cards to send out whenever I want to let someone know I am thinking about them. These cards use the materials in the Paper Pumpkin Try It Kit plus the extra materials as indicated next to each card.
Also uses Gumball Green Classic Stampin' Pad, Gumball Green Card Stock, Summer Starfruit Card Stock, SNAIL Adhesive, Glue Dots, Stampin' Dimensionals, Stampin' Trimmer, Paper Snips, Craft Scissors, and 1-3/4" Circle Punch.
Also uses Gumball Green Classic Stampin' Pad, Summer Starfruit Classic Stampin' Pad, 2012-2014 In Color Stampin' Write Markers (Summer Starfruit), Summer Starfruit Card Stock, Very Vanilla Card Stock, Sponge Daubers, SNAIL Adhesive, and Stampin' Trimmer.
For this next card, I peeled the negative image left over after using all the butterflies away from the backing paper and dabbed the back with the Embossing Buddy so it would no longer be sticky. Then, I laid the piece down on my white card stock layer and sponged through the butterfly shaped spaces with Sponge Daubers in the three colors of ink. When I removed the negative image piece, I was left with these fun little butterflies!

I then looked at the negative image piece I was left with and decided to use it on some more cards! I just punched each set of two butterflies out with the Modern Label Punch and sponged on a little more ink as needed with the Sponge Daubers.
