I just had to create a punch art bee card to go with the Honeycomb Embossing Folder and a little faux honey made by mixing Dazzling Details and Ink Refill. Enjoy!
Uses Loving Thoughts Clear-Mount Set plus Clear-Mount Block H, More Mustard Classic Stampin' Pad, More Mustard Classic Stampin' Ink Refill, So Saffron Card Stock, More Mustard Card Stock, Early Espresso Card Stock, Very Vanilla Card Stock, Dazzling Diamonds Stampin' Glitter, Dazzling Details, White Vellum Card Stock, SNAIL Adhesive, 2-Way Glue Pen, Stampin' Trimmer, Paper Snips, Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border Punch, Large Oval Punch, Ornament Punch, 3/4" Circle Punch, 1-3/4" Circle Punch, Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine, Multipurpose Platform, Standard Cutting Pads, Honeycomb Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, and toothpick.
I used the toothpick to mix the Dazzling Details and Ink Refill together and to "paint" it into the honeycomb spaces.
To make the punch art bee, punch a shape from a scrap of More Mustard Card Stock using the Ornament Punch. Punch about halfway into scrap of Early Espresso Card Stock with the 1-3/4" Circle Punch. Slide the punch up about 1/4" and punch again. You should have a thin arc of card stock. Repeat two more times so you have three arcs of card stock. Adhere them to the base of the ornament punch out using the 2-Way Glue Pen and trim off excess. Punch a 3/4" Circle from a scrap of Early Espresso Card Stock and adhere it over the neck of the ornament. Punch two ovals from the Vellum Card Stock using the Large Oval Punch. Adhere them to the back of the bee's head so they overlap a bit. If desired, add some glitter to the wings using the 2-Way Glue Pen.
I'd love to receive comments from you telling me what you think of this card. Are there any other fun ways you can think of to use the Honeycomb Folder?
Thanks, Gail. You'll enjoy the Honeycomb Embossing Folder. It's pretty cool!
