I know, I know. It seems too early to be thinking about Easter yet, but I wanted to create a punch art hat to go along with an Easter dress using the Dress Up Framelits. I hope you like it!
Uses Four Frames Wood-Mount Set and Teeny Tiny Wishes Wood-Mount Set plus Pretty in Pink Classic Stampin' Pad, Crumb Cake Classic Stampin' Pad, Pretty in Pink Stampin' Write Marker, Pretty in Pink Card Stock, Crumb Cake Card Stock, Very Vanilla Card Stock, Tea for Two Designer Series Paper, Tea Lace Paper Doilies, Pretty in Pink 1/4" Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon, 3/16" Subtles Brads, Pearl Basic Jewels, Stampin' Dimensionals, SNAIL Adhesive, Sticky Strip, Stampin' Trimmer, Paper Snips, Craft Scissors, Paper-Piercing Tool, Stampin' Pierce Mat, Simply Scored Scoring Tool, Decorative Label Punch, Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack, Scallop Oval Punch, 1-1/4" Circle Punch, Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine, Multipurpose Platform, Standard Cutting Pads, and Dress Up Framelits.
The hat is made by punching a half-circle from a scrap of Crumb Cake Card Stock using the 1-1/4" Circle Punch and a scallop oval as well. Place the scallop oval on the Simply Scored Scoring Tool so one of the scallops on one short edge is centered between scoring lines. Score down on either side of the scallop. Fold the oval onto itself to make the hat brim. Adhere the half-circle so the flat base rests in the fold. I recommend using a Brad on side to help hold the folded brim in place. I punched the flower shape from the center of one of the flowers on the Designer Series Paper using the 4-petal flower shape in the Itty Bitty Shapes Punches Pack.
I like it and its really good design and cool colors. I wish happy Easter as well. Have a good time.
