The Swallowtail butterfly image on page 18 of the Spring Catalog makes striking cards very quickly. For this one, I heat embossed the butterfly image with Cherry Cobbler Stampin' Emboss Powder and then sponged on Pumpkin Pie Ink. Enjoy!

Walk in Wednesday is a day when you can stop by and pick up orders, place orders, pay for orders, look at displays, ask questions, get help with products, sign up for upcoming events, and stamp a couple of quick and easy projects.
You can stop by anytime between 2 p.m and 7 p.m. You don't have to tell me in advance that you are coming, just pop by!
I have a couple of quick and easy card projects ready for you to stamp if you wish. These projects are different each week. Cost is $1 per project made. You may make one of each of the two cards available if you wish.
Here are the cards you can stamp today:
Uses Patterned Occasions Clear-Mount Set and Perfectly Penned Clear-Mount Set plus Clear-Mount Block C, Crumb Cake Classic Stampin' Pad, 2012-2014 In Color Stampin' Write Markers (Raspberry Ripple), Pretty in Pink Card Stock, Crumb Cake Card Stock, Natural 7/8" Cotton Ribbon, Stampin' Dimensionals, SNAIL Adhesive, Multipurpose Adhesive Sheets, Stampin' Trimmer, Paper Snips, Craft Scissors, Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine, Multipurpose Platform, Standard Cutting Pads, and Needlepoint Border Textured Impressions Embossing Folders.
Uses Pretty Petites Clear-Mount Set plus Clear-Mount Block A, Rich Razzleberry Classic Stampin' Pad, Rich Razzleberry Card Stock, Whisper White Card Stock, Sycamore Street Designer Series Paper, Whisper White 1/4" Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon, Brights Designer Buttons, Silver Basics Designer Buttons, Glue Dots, Stampin' Dimensionals, SNAIL Adhesive, Sticky Strip, Stampin' Trimmer, Paper Snips, Craft Scissors, Paper-Piercing Tool, Stampin' Pierce Mat, Occasions Paper-Piercing Pack, 3/4" Circle Punch, 1/2" Circle Punch, Blossom Punch, Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine, Multipurpose Platform, Standard Cutting Pads, and Perfect Polka Dots Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.
The band-aid on the first card is actually stamped on the ribbon so it has the texture of a real band-aid! The ribbon is adhered to some of the Multipurpose Adhesive Sheets and then cut out. Once the backing is peeled off, the band-aid sticks right to the card front.
Remember, Sale-A-Bration items (highlighted in purple) are available FREE with a qualifying purchase or by hosting a qualifying show!
This card features the chalkboard technique with the That's the Ticket Set and Feeling Sentimental Set that can be earned for FREE during Sale-A-Bration. It's the last of the cards we made in my Club Classes this month. Enjoy!
Uses That's the Ticket Wood-Mount Set and Feeling Sentimental Clear-Mount Set plus Clear-Mount Block D, Clear-Mount Block G, Real Red Classic Stampin' Pad, Whisper White Craft Stampin' Pad, Pumpkin Pie Card Stock, Real Red Card Stock, Basic Black Card Stock, White uni-ball Signo Gel Pen, Embossing Buddy, Heat Tool, White Stampin' Emboss Powder, Real Red 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon, Hung Up Cute Clips, SNAIL Adhesive, Stamping Sponges, Stampin' Trimmer, Craft Scissors, and Ticket Duo Builder Punch.
The chalkboard technique is really easy. Just stamp and emboss some images on black card stock using White Stampin' Emboss Powder or Whisper White Craft Ink. Then, sponge some white ink lightly around the images to look like erased chalk dust. You can add additional white accents with the Gel Pen if desired.
You can earn the Feeling Sentimental Set for FREE during Sale-A-Bration with a qualifying purchase or by hosting a qualifying show. Contact me for all the details!
I received the Just Thinking a la carte stamp from the Spring Catalog just for attending Leadership in Orlando recently. I couldn't wait to combine it with some of the new Floral Trim and Sycamore Street Sale-A-Bration items. So, here's the card we made at my recent Club Classes. Enjoy!
Uses Just Thinking Wood-Mount a la carte stamp plus Island Indigo Classic Stampin' Pad, Brights Collection Stampin' Write Markers (Tangerine Tango), Island Indigo Card Stock, Pool Party Card Stock, Tangerine Tango Card Stock, Whisper White Card Stock, Sycamore Street Designer Series Paper, Sycamore Street Ribbon & Button Pack, Vanilla 5/8" Flower Trim, Designer Builder Brads, Large Rhinestone Basic Jewels, Glue Dots, SNAIL Adhesive, Sticky Strip, Stampin' Trimmer, Paper Snips, Craft Scissors, Paper-Piercing Tool, Stampin' Pierce Mat, Scallop Trim Border Punch, Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine, Multipurpose Platform, Standard Cutting Pads, Square Lattice Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, Window Frames Collection Framelits Dies, and spray mister filled with water.
I like to color the Flower Trim flowers by running the brush tip of a Marker across them. Then, if I want more of the flower to be colored in, I spritz it with some water (an old Stampin' Mist bottle or one of our Stampin' Spritzers work great) and crumple it a bit to make the ink run. You can wear latex gloves while doing this if you don't want ink all over your fingers! You can speed up the drying of the flower by blasting it with the low setting of the Heat Tool if desired.

Here's another awesome technique I learned at Leadership - using the Delicate Details Lace Tape as a stencil! We used this technique plus two new stamp sets, Hearts a Flutter and Ciao, Baby!, to make this card at my recent Club Classes. Enjoy!
Uses Hearts a Flutter Clear-Mount Set, Ciao, Baby! Wood-Mount Set, and En Francais background stamp plus Clear-Mount Block B, Clear-Mount Block D, Regal Rose Classic Stampin' Pad, Rose Red Classic Stampin' Pad, Subtles Collection Stampin' Write Markers (Rose Red), Regal Rose Card Stock, Rose Red Card Stock, Very Vanilla Card Stock, Silver Stampin' Dazzle Marker, White Delicate Details Lace Tape, Silver Soda Pop Tops, Stampin' Dimensionals, SNAIL Adhesive, 2-Way Glue Pen, Sticky Strip, Sponge Daubers, Stampin' Trimmer, Paper Snips, Small Heart Punch, Owl Builder Punch, Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine, Multipurpose Platform, Standard Cutting Pads, Hearts Collection Framelits, Hearts a Flutter Framelits, and cardboard shim.
Cut a length of Delicate Details Lace Tape just wider than your card stock layer. Lightly adhere the Lace Tape to the card stock. Then, use a Sponge Dauber to apply ink over and around the Lace Tape. Carefully peel the Lace Tape up to reveal the stenciled pattern. You can reuse the Lace Tape many times. To store it between uses, just adhere it to a section of the plastic runner it is shipped on, gently wipe off excess ink with a clean tissue or paper towel, and store it in a cello bag or empty Clear-Mount Stamp Case.
You can easily flatten the Soda Pop Tops with the Big Shot. I've found that if you use the Multipurpose Platform so it is completely open (no tabs in place) the Soda Pop Tops tend to flatten in a more even manner preserving the circle shape. Just build a sandwich of one Standard Cutting Pad, a piece of thick cardboard (similar to that our Specialty Designer Series Papers are packaged with), the Soda Pop Top upside down, and the other Standard Cutting Pad. I use Sticky Strip to adhere my flattened Soda Pop Tops to my projects.
I absolutely LOVE this cool technique that was taught during Leadership - using the Creped Filter Paper to make feathers! I combined my feathers with the Amazing Family Set and several other new products from the Spring Catalog for this card we made in my Club Classes this month. Enjoy!
Uses Amazing Family Clear-Mount Set plus Clear-Mount Block H, Cajun Craze Classic Stampin' Pad, Regals Collection Stampin' Write Markers (Not Quite Navy), Cajun Craze Card Stock, Not Quite Navy Card Stock, Crumb Cake Card Stock, Creped Filter Paper, Parker's Patterns Designer Series Paper, Whisper White Baker's Twine, Natural 7/16" Trim Ribbon, Silver Basics Designer Buttons, SNAIL Adhesive, Multipurpose Liquid Glue, Sticky Strip, Stamping Sponges, Stampin' Trimmer, Paper Snips, Craft Scissors, Stampin' Distress Tool, Simply Scored Scoring Tool, Simply Scored Diagonal Plate, 1-3/8" Square Punch, Blossom Petals Builder Punch, Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine, Multipurpose Platform, Standard Cutting Pads, Chevron Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, and Post-It Notes.
To make the feathers, punch out a long, skinny petal from the Creped Filter Paper using the Blossom Petals Builder Punch. It's easier to punch the Creped Filter Paper if you put a Post-It Note behind it first. Then, sponge on ink and allow to dry for a few minutes. Turn the shape over and put a thin line of Multipurpose Liquid Glue down the center. Adhere a piece of Baker's Twine to the line of glue and allow to dry for a minute or two. Trim off excess Baker's Twine from the top and bottom, but be sure to leave a small bit at the bottom as the shaft of the feather. Use Paper Snips to snip the edges of the feather at an angle towards the center on both sides. Ruffle the edges with your finger tip and adhere to your project.
I also learned a great tip at Leadership for creating a tag shape. Simply cut a rectangle of card stock or Designer Series Paper. Place the rectangle on the Simply Scored Diagonal Scoring Plate on top of the Simply Scored Scoring Tool so that one short edge is against the top of the Scoring Tool. Score the right corner down at an angle. Flip the rectangle over and score the other corner down at the same angle. Use your Paper Snips to cut along these lines and you have a perfect tag shape!
Don't forget, you can earn the Simply Scored Diagonal Plate for FREE during Sale-A-Bration with a qualifying order or by hosting a qualifying show!
This is one of the cards we made in my Club Classes this month featuring the new Oh, Hello Set and Tea Lace Paper Doilies. I made these fun nametags for my Club Members using the Pop-Up Posies Designer Kit in the Spring Catalog. Everyone got to choose their favorite design as they arrived at Club Class this month and then wrote their own name on the tag using a Marker. The tags have a pin clasp adhered to the back with hot glue so they can use them again and again. To encourage them to wear them to Club Classes in the future, they will get an automatic 3 points towards the In Class Contest that month if they wear their badge. Enjoy!
