There is a new challenge on Shelli's Gardner's blog (SoShelli.com) to create cards with no more than 2 layers. It wasn't easy for me to do since I love layers, but here's a card I came up with for this challenge.
To add a little more dimension, I did some sponging and paper-piercing and used the "thumping" technique on the leaf. To "thump," simply ink up a solid image stamp with a lighter color of ink, then tap the brush tip of a couple of coordinating color markers randomly onto the stamp before pressing the stamp to paper. Enjoy!
