One of my customers recently shared some of the surplus from her garden with me and my family. So, I made this card to thank her for all the delicious goodies. The jar is cut out of the front of the card so that it gives a cool 3-D effect, especially when the card is standing on the table. Enjoy!

Directions
1) Cut a piece of Whisper White Card Stock to 4 x 5 1/4".
2) Stamp jar image in Basic Gray Ink just to the right of center and about 3/8" up from the bottom.
3) Stamp bottom of pear image in More Mustard Ink on either side of the jar at angles so that the bottoms of the pears just overlap the jar. Stamp one more pear bottom on the left side of the white card stock leaving about 1" between the two pears. Remember to reink the stamp each time.
4) Stamp the cut apple image in Old Olive Ink between the two pears on the left. Stamp it again in the center of the jar image. Remember to reink the stamp each time.
5) Stamp the cut apple image again onto a Post-It Note near the top where the adhesive is located.
6) Use the Paper Snips to cut out the cut apple image on the Post-It Note just inside the stamped edge.
7) Place the Post-It Note apple image over the apple image stamped inside the jar as a mask.
8) Clean the stamp with the Stampin' Mist and Stampin' Scrub.
9) Ink up the cut apple image again using More Mustard Ink this time.
10) Stamp the cut apple image on top of the masked apple image in the jar so that the bottom of this apple overlaps the top of the masked apple just a bit.
11) Remove the Post-It Note mask.
12) Ink up one of the stem and leaf images using Old Olive Ink and stamp it on top of all the pear bottoms.
13) Ink up the other stem and leaf image using Old Olive Ink and stamp it on top of the cut apple image between the two pears.
14) Ink up the fabric jar top image using Old Olive Ink and stamp it onto a scrap of Whisper White Card Stock.
15) Ink up the thank you oval image using Old Olive Ink and stamp it onto a scrap of Whisper White Card Stock.
16) Ink up the flower image using More Mustard Ink and stamp it onto a scrap of Whisper White Card Stock.
17) Use the Small Oval Punch to punch out the thank you oval.
18) Use the coordinating Cannery Set Framelits to cut out the jar image, the fabric jar top image, and the flower image. The sandwich you need is Multipurpose Platform completely closed, one Standard Cutting Pad, stamped card stock with coordinating Framelits placed on top (make sure the cutting edge is facing down), and the other Standard Cutting Pad. Run through the Big Shot.
19) Cut a piece of Old Olive Card Stock to 5 1/2 x 8 1/2" using the Stampin' Trimmer.
20) Score the Old Olive Card Stock along the 8 1/2" side at 4 1/4" using the Scoring Blade on the Stampin' Trimmer. Fold in half to make card.
21) Open the Old Olive card up and place it on top of one Standard Cutting Pad on top of the completely closed Multipurpose Platform so that the front of the card is firmly on the cutting pad.
22) Place the stamped white card stock with the jar image cut out of it onto the front of the Old Olive card and position it carefully without adhering it.
23) Place the jar Framelits on top of the cut out area on the white card stock. Position it carefully.
24) Place the other Standard Cutting Pad on top of the sandwich and run it through the Big Shot.
25) Close the Old Olive card which now has a jar shaped hole cut in it. Adhere the cut out jar image to the inside of the card through the hole.
26) Adhere the cut out flower image to the top of the fabric jar lid cut out on the right side.
27) Use the 2-Way Glue Pen to put a thin line of adhesive around the top of the cut out jar hole on the white card stock.
28) Adhere the fabric jar lid to the top of the jar hole.
29) Use the Paper-Piercing Tool and Stampin' Pierce Mat to poke a hole in the center of the flower image.
30) Insert a gold brad and secure by bending the prongs flat.
31) Adhere a piece of More Mustard 1/2" Scallop Dots Ribbon to the top of the stamped white rectangle using Sticky Strip on the ends.
32) Adhere the stamped white rectangle to the front of the Old Olive card. Make sure to carefully line up the jar holes in both pieces of card stock.
33) Use the 1/16" Circle Handheld Punch to punch a hole in the left side of the thank you oval.
34) Thread a piece of Linen Thread through the hole in the oval and tie it around the left side of the ribbon on the card front.
35) Tie another piece of More Mustard 1/2" Scallop Dots Ribbon to the ribbon on the card front so it covers the Linen Thread. Trim the ends of the ribbon and Linen Thread.
Tips
If you want to make sure that you get your stems and fruits lined up perfectly, you might want to use our Stamp-a-ma-jig. It's sold on page 7 and costs $11.95. There are directions with pictures on how to use it on page 37 of the big catalog.
If you have trouble getting Framelits to stay in place on your card stock while building sandwiches, try putting a piece of Post-It Note over them so it holds the Framelit to the card stock.
Do NOT put adhesive on the back of the fabric jar lid image when adhering it to the card front. If you do, it might stick to the inside of the card through the hole. Instead, use just a thin bit of adhesive along the top of the jar hole in the white card stock. The 2-Way Glue Pen is best for this!
I like to keep some scissors just for cutting Sticky Strip. That way I don't get my good scissors all gummed up and dull.
If you have trouble threading Linen Thread, Baker's Twine, or Ribbon through small holes, try using a Floss Threader. These can be found in most stores near the dental care products.
Stampin' Up! is now offering bundles of coordinating products to help you save money. The Perfectly Preserved Bundle contains both the Perfectly Preserved Set in your choice of Clear-Mount or Wood-Mount and the Cannery Set Framelits for 15% off! The Clear-Mount Bundle costs $38.95 and the Wood-Mount Bundle costs $44.95. You can find both bundles on page 29 of the Holiday Catalog.
Here's how the card looks when standing on the table.
