Thank goodness for my wonderful upline! I was at her house recently for a stamping event and told her my tale of woe about UPS losing my box with all my new supplies. She immediately offered to let me borrow a couple of items that she had extras of so that I could show them to my Club Members during Club Classes this month.
One of these items was the awesome new Stampin' Spritzers! I love these! They allow you to make up your own color spritzer using whatever color you want. So much fun!
Here's the card we made in Club Classes using the Stampin' Spritzer. Enjoy!
Uses Raining Flowers Clear-Mount Set and Petite Pairs Clear-Mount Set plus Clear-Mount Block B, Clear-Mount Block H, Gumball Green Classic Stampin' Pad, 2012-2014 In Color Stampin' Write Markers (Gumball Green and Midnight Muse), Marina Mist Stampin' Write Marker, Bashful Blue Classic Stampin' Ink Refill, Not Quite Navy Classic Stampin' Ink Refill, Gumball Green 3/8" Stitched Satin Ribbon, 3/16" Regals Brads, SNAIL Adhesive, Sticky Strip, Stampin' Spritzer, Craft Scissors, Paper-Piercing Tool, Stampin' Pierce Mat, Big Shot Die-Cutting Machine, Multipurpose Platform, Standard Cutting Pads, Stripes Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, Apothecary Accents Framelits Dies, water, and rubbing alcohol.
I used a mix of rubbing alcohol and water in my Spritzer because the rubbing alcohol helps it dry faster. The smell goes away once it is dry. One of my Club Members who is a pharmacist also pointed out that the alcohol will inhibit any bacterial growth if you leave the mixture sitting around for awhile. Good to know!
It's easier to start light and add more drops of color as needed. I used the two colors I did (Bashful Blue and Not Quite Navy) because I was out of the Marina Mist Ink Refill. The Bashful Blue just wasn't dark enough on its own, so I added a couple of drops of Not Quite Navy.
You can add a drop or two of Shimmer Paint as well if you wish to make a shimmery colored spray. If you do add Shimmer Paint, be sure to roll the Spritzer around between the palms of your hands or flat on the table before each use to make sure the Shimmer Paint is well mixed in.
It's also best to store these vertically. Some of my fellow Demonstrators have discovered that test tube holders work great. Just do a Google search for "test tube holders" or "test tube shots" and you'll find a whole bunch from which to choose.
AWESOME idea! I love my homemade shimmer paint sprotzer, but colored- wow!!!

Thanks for your 'recipe' for the Stampin' Spritzer, Michelle. I'll have to give it a try.
