Today's project is a fun little box you can fill with treats. I gave one of these to each of my Club Members this month along with their orders from November. I filled the boxes with candy I bought while at Hershey on our RAD field trip the other day! Enjoy!

Directions
1) Cut a sheet of Real Red Card Stock in half using the Paper Cutter to get two pieces that are each 5 1/2 x 8 1/2".
2) Build a a sandwich of one Standard Cutting Pad, Mini Milk Carton Die with one piece of card stock on top, and Standard Premium Crease Pad. Run through the Big Shot.
3) Repeat step 2 with the other piece of card stock.
4) Cut the fourth flap off of each of the pieces of die-cut card stock as shown using the Paper Cutter.

5) Use the Bone Folder to firmly crease all score lines on both pieces including the angled ones at the top.
6) Place a ruler or other straight edge at an angle as shown so it lines up with the top point of the angled line on the center panel and the bottom point on the left of the top of the center panel. Use the Bone Folder's tip to draw a score line as shown on both pieces.

7) Use the Bone Folder to crease the line you just drew on both pieces.
8) Put Sticky Strip on the short side flaps of both pieces.
9) Remove the protective backing from one strip of Sticky Strip and carefully adhere the two die-cut pieces together being careful to line things up.
10) Remove the protective backing from the other piece of Sticky Strip and carefully adhere the two ends together being careful to line things up.
11) Stand the box on the top edges and form it into a rough circle. Fold the tabs for the bottom out.
12) Put a small piece of Sticky Strip on the end of one of the flaps as shown.

13) Remove the protective backing from the Sticky Strip and carefully adhere the two flaps opposite each other together. They should only overlap by the width of the Sticky Strip.

14) Repeat with the remaining flaps. Make sure that you adhere flaps that are directly opposite each other together so that the box retains the correct shape.

15) Turn the box over and reach inside to press down hard on the bottom flaps to make sure they stay securely adhered together.
16) Pinch the top of the box closed by pinching outward on the straight score marks and pushing in on the angled score marks. You can leave the box like this, but sometimes the top wants to pop back open. To make sure it stays closed so the treats don't fall out, follow steps 17 through 22.

17) Set the depth gauge on the 1/8" hole punch of the Crop-A-Dile to the 5/8" mark.
18) Open the box top and pinch one point out along the straight score lines. Get it to flatten as much as you can. Slide the card stock into the 1/8" hole punch of the Crop-A-Dile so it is centered on the skinny score line along the top of the box and punch.

19) Repeat with all of the points formed by the straight score lines.

20) Fill your box with treats.
21) Starting with the points on the right side of what will be the front of your box, thread some Baker's Twine through the holes by pinching the point together. Continue threading the Baker's Twine through each of the points by pinching them together until you get back to the front of the box.

22) Pull the Baker's Twine tight to close the top of the box and tie a knot and then a bow to hold the box closed. Trim ends of the Baker's Twine as needed.

23) Cut a strip of Holly Berry Bouquet Specialty Designer Series Paper in the pattern you want to 1 1/2 x 10 1/4".
24) Put SNAIL on the back side of the designer paper strip as close as possible to all four edges.
25) Starting at the front of your box in the center of the panel, adhere the designer paper strip to the box so it is centered up and down and wraps all the way around the box. Crease the paper onto the sharp edges as you go around.
26) Cut a piece of Quilted Satin Ribbon 10 1/4" long.
27) Run SNAIL down the entire length of ribbon on the back side.
28) Starting at the front of your box in the center of the panel, adhere the ribbon to the box so it is centered up and down and wraps all the way around the box.
29) Stamp the "a gift for you" tag image in Garden Green Ink onto a scrap of Wild Wasabi Card Stock.
30) Punch out the tag using the Curly Label Punch.
31) Adhere the tag to the front panel of your box using Stampin' Dimensionals so it is centered over the ribbon.
Tips
You may get better results cutting the card stock with the Mini Milk Carton Die if you also use a shim of lightweight cardboard or card stock. Each Big Shot and Die are slightly different, so experiment to see if you need a shim or not.
I like to keep some scissors just for cutting Sticky Strip. That way I don't get my good scissors all gummed up and dull.
You could use Hemp Twine, Linen Thread, or 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon to hold the top of your box closed instead of the Baker's Twine if you wanted. If you want to use a thicker ribbon, you might want to punch the holes using the 3/16" hole Punch on the Crop-A-Dile instead.
To make it easier to thread the Baker's Twine through the holes, try using a needle or floss threader.
