This is one of the cards we made at my September Club Classes featuring heat embossing. It's actually a scratch & sniff card! I sure wish you could smell it! The pumpkin was embossed with a mix of Tangerine Tango Stampin' Emboss Powder and cinnamon. When you scratch the embossed image, a wonderful aroma floats out! Yum! Enjoy!

Directions
1) Cut a piece of Old Olive Card Stock to 5 1/2 x 8 1/2" using the Paper Cutter.
2) Score the card stock along the 8 1/2" side at 4 1/4" using the Scoring Blade on the Paper Cutter. Fold in half to make card.
3) Cut a piece of Tangerine Tango Card Stock to 4 x 5 3/8".
4) Place the tangerine rectangle into the Houndstooth Embossing Folder. Build a sandwich of Multipurpose Platform with Tab 2 open, one Standard Cutting Pad, Embossing Folder with card stock inside, and the other Standard Cutting Pad. Run through the Big Shot.
5) Cut a strip of Old Olive Card Stock to 1 1/2 x 4".
6) Punch along the long side of the olive strip with the Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border Punch to get a punched strip.
7) Use the 2-Way Glue Pen to adhere the punched strip to the bottom of the embossed tangerine rectangle about 1/2" up from the bottom.
8) Stamp the sentiment from the Teeny Tiny Wishes Set in Tempting Turquoise Ink onto a scrap of Very Vanilla Card Stock.
9) Punch out the sentiment with the Word Window Punch.
10) Punch a scrap of Tempting Turquoise Card Stock with the Modern Label Punch.
11) Adhere the sentiment punch out to the modern label punch out and then to the center of the dotted scallop ribbon strip.
12) Cut a square of Old Olive Card Stock to 3 x 3".
13) Carefully line up one side of the square so it is evenly placed in the Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border Punch. Punch.
14) Rotate the square a quarter turn, line it up in the same place on the punch, and punch.
15) Repeat step 14 two more times until all four sides of the square are punched.
16) Adhere the punched square to the top of the embossed tangerine rectangle.
17) Cut a square of Very Vanilla Card Stock to 1 5/8 x 1 5/8".
18) Use a sponge quarter to sponge Tempting Turquoise Ink onto the top three quarters of the vanilla square.
19) Use a different sponge quarter to sponge Old Olive Ink onto the bottom quarter of the vanilla square.
20) Use the Old Olive Marker to ink up the stem and vine of the pumpkin image from the Button Buddies Set.
21) Use the Tangerine Tango Marker to ink up the pumpkin part of the image.
22) Breathe onto the inked up stamp to remoisten the ink.
23) Stamp the image into the center of the sponged vanilla square.
24) Mix together a small amount of Tangerine Tango Embossing Powder and cinnamon in an empty container.
25) Use the brush tip of the VersaMarker to cover the pumpkin portion of the image in VersaMark ink.
26) Sprinkle on the embossing powder/cinnamon mixture and tap off excess. You may need to use a fine tip brush to remove any powder sticking where you don't want it.
27) Heat the image with the Heat Tool until the powder is completely melted and shiny.
28) Cut a square of Tempting Turquoise Card Stock to 1 3/4 x 1 3/4".
29) Adhere the stamped, embossed vanilla square to the center of the turquoise square.
30) Adhere the squares to the center of the punched olive square.
31) Use the small flower punch from the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack to punch four flowers from a scrap of Tangerine Tango Card Stock.
32) Adhere the flowers to the four corners of the punched olive square using the 2-Way Glue Pen.
33) Use the fine tip of the Old Olive Marker to add centers to the flowers.
34) Adhere the tangerine rectangle to the front of the olive card.
35) Gently scratch the embossed pumpkin image to release the yummy aroma of cinnamon.
Tips
The Houndstooth Embossing Folder will shorten the card stock a bit when it is embossed because of the detail in the pattern. So, it is best to cut the card stock about 1/8" longer than you want the finished piece to be.
It's almost always easiest to hold our punches upside down so you can see where you are punching. This will help you line things up, get things centered, and make sure you aren't punching off an edge.
Cut your Stamping Sponges into quarters. You'll get more pieces this way and they'll be easier to use.
Unless you plan to make a lot of scratch and sniff cards, only mix up a tiny amount of embossing powder and cinnamon. A little embossing powder goes a long way!
Try using a little bit of powdered drink mix with embossing powder to make other scents for scratch and sniff cards. Make sure to use only sugar-free mixes though. Mixes with sugar will caramelize as you heat them and will give your image a burned look.
