Directions
1) Cut a piece of Marina Mist Card Stock to 5 1/2 x 8 1/2" using the Paper Cutter.
2) Score the card stock along the 8 1/2" side at 4 1/4" using the Scoring Blade on the Paper Cutter. Fold in half to make card.
3) Cut a piece of Pretty in Pink Card Stock to 4 x 5 1/4".
4) Place pink rectangle into the Stripes Textured Impressions Embossing Folder so the stripes are running vertically up and down the rectangle. Build a sandwich of Multipurpose Platform with Tab 2 open, one Standard Cutting Pad, Embossing Folder with card stock inside, and the other Standard Cutting Pad. Run through the Big Shot.
5) Place the embossed pink rectangle back in the Stripes Textured Impressions Embossing Folder so the stripes are running horizontally across the rectangle. The top 1" will hang out of the folder, but that's okay. It will be covered by the Designer Paper. Rebuild the sandwich in step 4 above and run through the Big Shot.
6) Cut a piece of striped Daffodil Delight Patterns Designer Series Paper to 2 x 4".
7) Punch one long side of the Designer Paper with the Scallop Edge Border Punch.
8) Adhere the punched designer paper to the top of the embossed pink rectangle so it covers the area at the top which is not crosshatched.
9) Secure a piece of Pretty in Pink Scallop Dots Ribbon across the center of the designer paper.
10) Adhere the pink and yellow rectangle to the card front.
11) Stamp the "just for fun" sentiment in Marina Mist Ink onto a scrap of Whisper White Card Stock.
12) Punch out the sentiment with the Jewelry Tag Punch.
13) Punch a hole in the top of the tag with the 1/16" Circle Handheld Punch.
14) Thread a piece of White Baker's Twine through the hole in the tag and tie it to the left side of the ribbon on the card front. Allow the tag a little slack to hang loose.
15) Tie a small piece of Pretty in Pink Scallop Dots Ribbon around the original ribbon where the tag is tied on. Trim the ends of the ribbon and baker's twine as needed with the Craft Scissors.
16) Cut a piece of Marina Mist Card Stock to 2 3/4 x 3 1/2".
17) Place the marina card stock inside the rectangular frame embossing folder from the Designer Frames Textured Impressions Embossing Folders Set.
18) Build a sandwich of Multipurpose Platform with Tab 2 open, one Standard Cutting Pad, Embossing Folder with card stock inside, and the other Standard Cutting Pad. Run through the Big Shot.
19) Carefully cut out the embossed frame using Paper Snips.
20) Cut a piece of Whisper White Card Stock to 1 7/16 x 2 1/16".
21) Adhere the white rectangle to the inside of the marina frame.
22) Adhere the frame to the bottom right corner of the card.
23) Stamp the swirling circle candy image in Pretty in Pink Ink onto a scrap of Whisper White Card Stock.
24) Punch out the center of the circle with the 3/4" Circle Punch and set it aside.
25) Ink up the bag image with the Marina Mist Ink and stamp onto a scrap of Vellum Card Stock. Set aside to allow to dry for a few minutes.
26) Stamp the bow image in Daffodil Delight Ink onto a scrap of Whisper White Card Stock.
27) Carefully cut out the bow with Paper Snips.
28) Carefully cut out the bag image with Paper Snips. Cut off the ends of the Marina Mist bow on the image so they won't show.
29) Use the 2-Way Glue Pen to adhere the Daffodil Delight bow to the bag image so it covers the rest of the blue bow.
30) Put a thin layer of SNAIL across the top of the punched out pink candy. Adhere it to the back side of the bag so that the pink candy shows through the Vellum.
31) Put adhesive on the back side of the candy and adhere the whole image to the center of the white rectangle within the frame.
Tips
I like to use Sticky Strip to secure the ends of ribbon, twine, etc. to the back side of my card stock pieces. I just lay the end of the ribbon flat and put a small piece of Sticky Strip across it diagonally. When I'm ready to adhere the card stock to my card, I peel off the protective backing on the Sticky Strip. I find that adhering ribbon in this way uses less ribbon and makes it lay flatter.
It's almost always easier to stamp your image first and then punch it out. Remember, you can turn our punches over while using them so that you can see where you are punching and can line the punch up over the image.
If you have trouble threading ribbon, twine, etc. through small holes, try using a floss threader. You can usually find these near the toothbrushes and toothpaste in your grocery store or pharmacy.
