I'm mostly done with Christmas cards, but I'm still getting presents bought and wrapped. Many people are getting gift cards this year. It seems to be what they prefer so that they can choose exactly what they want. But, I like to dress the gift cards up a bit, so I made some cool gift card holders. Enjoy!

Directions for Basic Gift Card Holder
1) Cut a piece of card stock for the main sleeve to 4 x 5 1/2". Score at 2 1/2" and 5".
2) Cut a piece of Designer Series Paper to 2 1/4 x 3 3/4".
3) Use the 1-1/4" Circle Punch to punch a half circle from the right edge of the Designer Paper.
4) Adhere the Designer Paper to the front of the sleeve.
5) Use the 1" Circle Punch to punch a half circle in the right edge of the sleeve so it is just inside the half circle of the Designer Paper.
6) Put a piece of Sticky Strip along the inside left edge of the sleeve as close to the edge as you can get. Put a piece of Sticky Strip along the small flap as well.
7) Remove the protective backing for the Sticky Strip pieces and adhere the sleeve together.
8) Cut a piece of card stock for the gift card holder tag loop to 2 1/4 x 11". Score and fold in half at 5 1/2".
9) Place the folded piece of card stock on the Two Tags Die so the folded edge is just below the cutting edge along the flat side of the scallop-ended tag. You don't want the die to cut your card stock on this end.
10) Build a sandwich of Standard Cutting Pad, die with folded card stock in place, and other Standard Cutting Pad. Run through the Big Shot.
11) Put a small piece of Sticky Strip on the inside of the scalloped end as close to the outside edge as you can get. Adhere the two ends of the tag together.
12) Insert gift card into the card stock tag loop and then slide everything into the sleeve.
13) Punch a scallop circle from a scrap of card stock using the 1-3/4" Scallop Circle Punch.
14) Adhere the right side only of the scallop circle punch-out to the scallop on the end of the tag loop using Stampin' Dimensionals. Make sure the left side of the scallop circle punch-out is not adhered down so that it can slide over the top of the sleeve as the tag loop is inserted.
15) Finish decorating as desired.
Tips
You can find a great tutorial with pictures of each step for this gift card holder here.
Make gift card holders like this for any occasion by just changing the stamps and colors used.
You can stamp or write a sentiment on the tag loop if you wish. I like to add the amount the gift card is for to this area.
To get nice, sharp folds, try using a Bone Folder (page 198, $6.95).
I made the Santa owl by stamping the Santa suit tag image from Tags til Christmas on Very Vanilla Card Stock using Cherry Cobbler Ink. I then used the Two-Step Owl Punch to punch out the owl's belly from the tag image.
The Santa hat was made by punching a scrap of Cherry Cobbler Card Stock with the Two-Step Owl Punch. I punched out the vest piece at cut it an angle. The ball on the top of the hat was punched from Very Vanilla Card Stock using the Two-Step Owl Punch and one of the medium circles. I free hand cut the trim at the bottom of the hat from Very Vanilla Card Stock.
