I made this card to send to my nephew who will be turning 6 soon. I was so pleased with how it came out and couldn't wait to show it to all of you. I started creating this post and looked in the new catalog to make sure I gave the correct new name and price for the one punch. That's when I realized I'd goofed! The My Way Punch which I used to create the arrows is retired! I'd missed pulling it off my shelves when cleaning out all my retired stuff, so I happily used it to create this card. Phooey!
I debated not posting this card as a result, but I still like it and wanted to give you the idea for the Play Date Designer Series Paper and new Petal Card Extra-Large Double Punch, so here it is! If you want to buy the retired My Way Punch from me, let me know. It's for sale!

Directions
1) Cut a piece of So Saffron Card Stock to 5 1/2 x 8 1/2". Score and fold in half to make card.
2) Cut a piece of Old Olive Card Stock to 4 x 5 1/4".
3) Cut a piece of the brown number blocks Play Date Designer Series Paper to 3 7/8 x 5 1/8".
4) Cut a strip of Old Olive Card Stock to 1 x 3 7/8".
5) Cut a strip of yellow polka dot Play Date Designer Series Paper to 3/4 x 3 7/8".
6) Adhere the strip of designer paper to the strip of olive card stock.
7) Adhere the strips to the bottom of the brown rectangle of Designer Paper.
8) Adhere the designer paper rectangle to the olive rectangle.
9) Adhere a piece of Real Red 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon to the center of the yellow designer paper strip.
10) Adhere the rectangle to the card front.
11) Ink up the sentiment with Chocolate Chip Ink and stamp on a scrap of So Saffron Card Stock.
12) Punch out the sentiment with the Word Window Punch.
13) Punch a scrap of Old Olive Card Stock with the Modern Label Punch.
14) Adhere the sentiment to the center of the modern label punch-out.
15) Adhere the matted sentiment to the right side of the strip of designer paper so it is centered over the ribbon.
16) Tie a small piece of ribbon to the other ribbon on the left side of the sentiment and trim ends.
17) Punch a small heart from a scrap of Real Red Card Stock using the Heart to Heart Punch.
18) Use the 2-Way Glue Pen to adhere the heart to the right edge of the matted sentiment.
19) Punch a petal card from a scrap of Real Red Card Stock using the Petal Card Punch.
20) Adhere the petal card punch-out over one of the blocks on the brown piece of designer paper in the upper left corner.
21) Cut the number block desired from a piece of brightly colored number blocks Play Date Designer Series Paper.
22) Adhere the number block to the center of the petal card punch-out.
23) Fold the petals closed over the number.
24) Use the My Way Punch to punch arrows from scraps of So Saffron and Old Olive Card Stock.
25) Use the 2-Way Glue Pen to adhere the arrows to each other and to the card front so they are pointing at the petal card.
It is usually easier to stamp an image or sentiment on scrap paper first and then punch it out. That way you can line the punch up over the sentiment or image to make sure it is straight and centered.
The Petal Card Extra-Large Double Punch punches out the shape and scores the fold lines for the petals at the same time. As a result, you do have to use a little more force than usual when using this punch.
I used Sticky Strip (page 197, $6.95) to adhere the petal card punch-out to the card front. I wanted to make sure it would not pull off when the petals were opened and closed.
I have one My Way Punch for sale for just $5 plus shipping! If you'd like to own this punch, please contact me.
If you don't have the My Way Punch, you could stamp the "party this way" inside an arrow sentiment from the new Party This Way Set (page 53, $15.95 for Wood, $11.95 for Clear) and then cut it out by hand and use it instead of the punched arrows.
Other colors that work with the Play Date Designer Series Paper are Crumb Cake and Tempting Turquoise. You could substitute those colors if you prefer.
