May Club Class Follow-Up

Things that roll! That's what we were focusing on at the May Club Classes. So, we mostly used the Brayer and Wheels, but I did throw in the Big Shot too since it has rollers.

This card uses the Brayer by rolling just the edges across Ink Pads and then onto card stock to make a cool plaid pattern. It's a technique called "Striped Brayering." I thought this would be a neat card to give to any guy to say "sorry," but wouldn't it be perfect for a hunter who had a bad weekend?

Uses Under the Stars Set and Teeny Tiny Wishes Set plus Creamy Caramel Card Stock, Ruby Red Card Stock, Sage Shadow Card Stock, Ruby Red Classic Ink Pad, Sage Shadow Classic Ink Pad, Basic Brown Classic Ink Pad, Brayer, Cutter Kit, Earth Elements Brads, Paper-Piercing Tool, Mat Pack, 1 3/4" Circle Punch, Big Shot Die-Cut Machine, Standard Cutting Pads, Circles #2 Originals Die, and Stampin' Dimensionals.

We used the Serigraph Technique on a piece of white card stock that we'd first run through the Big Shot with the Elegant Bouquet Embossing Folder. It's pretty how the embossed flowers keep a white edge as the surface is brayered. This card uses a Jumbo Wheel with the Black Magic Technique. Simply stamp (or wheel) some solid images onto a dark card stock with Whisper White Craft Ink. Once the ink is dry, color directly onto the white images as desired with Watercolor Pencils.

I inked up my new Triple Cell Cartridge with Tempting Turquoise, Old Olive, and Rose Red Ink Refills and we used it to make this card using a couple of the new Builder Wheels. We also did a little dry embossing on the turquoise layer of card stock by running it through the Big Shot with a piece of card stock with star punches adhered to it to make our own texture plate. It's subtle, but works pretty well!
