Today's card features a cool technique called "Rainbow Embossing." It's hard to tell in the picture, but the embossing is all two-tone using Silver and Iridescent Ice. This card is really quite sparkly and pretty in person! I think it would make a lovely thank you card from a new bride or change the sentiment to the "cherish" from the set and use it for a wedding or anniversary card.

Directions
1) Cut a piece of Basic Gray Card Stock to 3 7/8 x 5 1/8".
2) Ink up the large swirling vine image from the Baroque Motifs Set with the Whisper White Craft Ink. Stamp the image in the upper right corner of the gray rectangle.
3) Lightly sprinkle a little Iridescent Ice Embossing Powder on the edges of the stamped image. Be sure not to cover the entire image with embossing powder. Tap off excess powder.
4) Sprinkle Silver Embossing Powder all over the image. Tap off excess. You should have an image that is completely coated in two different colors of embossing powder.
5) On a scrap of Basic Gray Card Stock stamp the sentiment and the medium flower image from the Baroque Motifs Set in White Craft Ink.
6) Using the same technique in steps 3 and 4, add embossing powder to these images.
7) Heat all your images until the embossing powders are completely melted.
8) Punch out the sentiment with the Modern Label Punch so that the word is aligned more to the left.
9) Place the Modern Label Punch Window in the Curly Label Bigz XL Die and place a scrap of Whisper White Card Stock on top.
10) Build a "sandwich" of Extended Cutting Pad, Die with card stock in place, and Extended Cutting Pad. Run the "sandwich" through the Big Shot.
11) Adhere the punched out sentiment to the white die cut piece.
12) Adhere the matted sentiment to the lower right hand side of the embossed gray rectangle so the right edge of the sentiment piece goes off the card stock. Trim off excess.
13) Cut a piece of Night & Day Specialty Designer Paper with the small flowers design to 2 x 3 7/8".
14) Adhere the designer paper to the left side of the embossed gray rectangle.
15) Cut a piece of Whisper White Card Stock to 4 x 5 1/4."
16) Mat the gray rectangle on the white rectangle.
17) Adhere a piece of Whisper White Taffeta Ribbon to the card front so it covers the seam between the designer paper and card stock.
18) Punch out the embossed medium flower image with the 1 1/4" Circle Punch.
19) Place a small Filigree Designer Brad in the center of the flower image. Use the Paper-Piercing Tool and Mat Pack to poke a hole through the center of the brad and card stock.
20) Insert a small Clear Rhinestone Brad and secure on the back of the flower circle.
21) Use Stampin' Dimensionals to attach the flower circle to the card front so it is centered on the ribbon near the top of the card.
22) Use the Paper-Piercing Tool and Mat Pack to poke a hole in the left edge of the matted sentiment.
23) Insert another small Clear Rhinestone Brad and secure on the back side of the card front.
24) Cut a piece of Basic Gray Card Stock to 5 1/2 x 8 1/2". Score and fold in half to make card.
25) Adhere the card front to the card.
Tips
Craft Inks are good to heat emboss with because they stay wet long enough for you to add the embossing powders.
Just be careful when working with Craft Inks. If you get them on your clothing, they will not come out once dry!
You can try this technique with any colors of Embossing Powder. Just be sure to use a light hand when applying the first color of powder. When you apply the second color, it will stick anywhere that is not already coated with the first powder.
Powder Pals are not required, but they make containing and returning excess powders to their containers much easier and neater.
Remember not to mix your Embossing Powders when doing this technique. It's best to use two different Powder Pals, one for each color of powder. If you don't use Powder Pals, then be sure to return excess powder of the first color to its container before sprinkling the second color of powder.
