I definitely had to pull out the Stamp-a-ma-jig, which many of you know I'm usually too lazy to do, to stamp the sentiment on this first card. I think it was worth it though! What do you think?

This next card was really fun to create as I got to color all the little bears using Markers and the Blender Pens with various brown inks from the pad lids. I stamped the bears in Chocolate Chip Ink onto a strip of Watercolor Paper and let it dry for a bit while working on the rest of the card. I like to use the Watercolor Paper when working with the Blender Pens as it doesn't want to tear and pill like regular card stock can.

The button on this next card doesn't look nearly so bad in person. Scanning it just magnifies all the little imperfections. There are a few imperfections though because apparently my one cat likes the taste/smell/feel of the Simply Pressed Clay! I dyed the clay before pushing it into the mold by rubbing it across the So Saffron Ink Pad a few times and kneading the color into the clay.

I love to use products in different ways than they might have been originally intended to be used. So, for this last card, I used the bells in the Best of Brides & Babies Set as Christmas bells instead of wedding bells! The sentiment is from the More Merry Messages Set which is still available as a write-in item even though it isn't pictured in the catalog.

I absolutely LOVE how this next card turned out! I combined three new stamp sets - Gorgeous Grunge, Feel Goods, and Hello, Lovely - and threw in the "kissing technique" on the ampersand. I did have to use the Stamp-a-ma-jig to line up the words, but it was soooo worth it! Do you like it?

Here's the card we sent my dad for Father's Day. It mixes some Epic Day This and That products with the new Six-Sided Sampler Set. I love how the designer paper looks like a map. It seemed appropriate since they are now at their Colorado house for the summer. I just hope the wildfires will stay well away from their property!

I was experimenting with our Core'dinations Card Stock the other day and
decided to see what would happen if I placed a piece of card stock on
top of a fairly solid stamp and then sanded the top side of the card stock. I showed the card I created while experimenting to Janet Wakeland during Diva Day at her house yesterday and she told me I had to create a card using this technique for this blog tour. So, here it is!

Mount all four of the larger mosaic tile images on Block I at the same time. Place the Core'dinations Card Stock on top of the mounted stamps with the rough side of the card stock facing up. Sand across the whole surface using fairly firm pressure. You might want to place a tiny dot of SNAIL on top of the two outer stamps before placing the card stock on top to help hold it still while you stamp. Watch as the underlying stamp images appear as you sand!

I recently received a fun surprise gift in the mail from my upline, Janet Wakeland, just because I pin my creations to Pinterest and a team board on Facebook. So, I made her this thank you card using some Simply Pressed Clay pieces I created the other day while experimenting with the clay. I love that you can actually stamp directly into the clay to create a cool impression embellishment like I did here with the "you make me smile" sentiment. I had hoped to be able to punch the piece out, but the clay was just a little too thick, so I had to cut it out by hand. I had dyed my clay by just rubbing it over the Melon Mambo Ink Pad and then kneading it until the color was evenly distributed.

I embossed two strips of Primrose Petals Core'dinations Card Stock with the Delicate Designs Embossing Folder after cutting the edges with the Large Scallop Edgelits. Then, I gently sanded opposite sides of the card stock to make the pattern stand out more. The Dust Buddy was very handy for cleaning up all the sanded bits! I then adhered them to the Pink Pirouette layer so that the designs matched up and trimmed off the excess. I love the different look I got by sanding the front and reverse sides of the embossed image.
While we were in Dunedin, New Zealand recently, my husband and I spent a rainy morning touring the Cadbury factory. It was a really interesting and delicious tour!
I always try to find some little treat to bring home from my travels as gifts for my Club Members. So, we bought some candies while in the gift shop after the tour. It's a yummy treat called Jaffas which appear to be unique to that part of the world. Here's the bag:
I made these adorable little boxes using the now retired Petal Card Double Punch and the new A Round Array Stamp Set to hold some of these marvelous morsels as the extra treat my Club Members got in their bags with their May Club Orders. Each little box holds four of the candies and each Club Member got one of each of the little boxes.

Then, we went on a wildlife watching tour of the Otago Peninsula that was amazing despite pouring rain! We saw:
flying royal albatross;
baby royal albatross (they are big babies);
a yellow-eyed penquin nicknamed Sharky because of his ragged right wing;
another yellow-eyed penquin who waddled right past us on the beach as his feet and underwings warmed back up and turned pink; more yellow-eyed penquins all over the steep slopes, including a mated pair that greeted each other by throwing their heads back and making noises;
a whole bunch of male sea lions who were mostly either sleeping or posturing for each other;
sleepy female sea lions who hide from the males as much as they can so they don't get squashed;
and a whole bunch more birds and, of course, some sheep!
